There is a small "error" with after installing the wallet. It writes NSIS Example2 in the registry for the uninstaller. Could correct that so that people know what to uninstall if they choose to uninstall the wallet. Still holding on to Auroras Wink

Easy-mine responded to me and said the were "done". So I think they must have updated already.

Sure looks like it's okay, my balance has continued to go up without any problem. Thanks!

All the pools and exchanges I am aware of have upgraded, except I have no idea of how to contact aur.pool-a.net.

A hard fork has been implemented.

  • Forks at block 5400 (2-3 weeks from now)
  • Gravity well added
  • Block time halved, reward halved, halving time doubled

Update ASAP

Do I need to update my wallet  Huh

Yes. Because the network is decentralized every client (or the majority) needs to agree exactly on the reward, difficulty, retarget time etc for each block. Once block 5400 is mined, the updated clients will begin using the new parameters, and will ignore blocks generated by the old client.

We'll keep android client up to date.. better not give it to public before it is ready for the fork.

You're making an android client? I missed that. How cool is that, I draw my hat!

is easy-mine updated? Always mining there.

Probably not yet. Miners should make 100% sure the pools they are mining with are updated before the fork happens.

block reward still same? but the fork happens 2-3 weeks from now, isn't that a bit long?

Block reward 12.5, instead of 25. Block time 5 minutes, instead of 10 minutes. Halving height doubled. So coins are in reality created at the same rate as before.

KGW will make time between blocks steadier.

thanks for acting quickly.

Any news about easy-mine? What would happen if they update late? I have a few coins there and I'm still mining.
