I use    http://aur.easy-mine.eu/
Although there was one downtime once, its working great and seems very fair pool (150 miners are mining currently)

Been mining here for a couple of hours seems stable.

I'm not sure where he is getting his figures from he seems to have Aurora at $15.55 per coin or am I missing something.

Also my mining speed is way out, just under double what I am actally mining at.

What are you going to do about old folks who are not on the internet? Will you send them paper wallets so they can spend them at shops?

Yes i want more info on how the spreading of the coin will go, maybe put it on front page?

I was thinking about this the other day, and have a feeling that those in iceland who are aware or AUR will make sure every one of their friends and family who don't know get help claiming their share.  Perhaps for a small 5 or 10% finders fee :-)

If I'm reading this correctly AUR was the second largest traded cryptocurrency by BTC volume over the last 24 hours at cryptorush.in:

I am preparing a hard fork with KGW implemented. Also, I will tweak the block reward, block time and halving time in order to make the confirmation time faster, without altering how fast coins are generated.

Cool.

Would it be possible to have some expert look over your changes or are you confident you're not screwing anything up?

this are perfect news. It will make the coin faster, stable and more flexible while maintaining the value.

Sounds good, KGW is desperately needed...

0.1 withdrawal fee, wtf? They even say it's a network fee and the pool doesn't take anything. Is this true?

If so how come other pools have 0.01?

Looking at the block explorer for a recent block that contains transactions, it seems there is no minimum fee, some transactions have .001 and others have 0.  They should really drop what they are charging, given the low rate coins are mined at .1 is nuts.

If ewe could get some clear indication of tx fees i'll be more than happy to adjust my pool accordingly.
So far it's set to 0.01 and no pool fees which i think is fair.

Yet no many people mining on

I think I read somewhere that implementing KGW in Android wallet would be difficult - no idea why, maybe it requires some libraries that simply are not available? I don't know how KGW is implemented, but I hope you have that aspect in mind as well.

Sure it complicates things.. but nothing is impossibe :-) Have not yet looked at it, but I guess the same; most likely it is just missing libararies.
However, it makes things a lot easier, if the implementation in auroracoin-qt wallet is documented decently :-)

Edit: Hmm. shouldn't be too hard to implement in java, but testing might be the real problem ..

Just call GetNextWorkRequired or KimotoGraivtywell according to block.

Does anyone else think the block target time should be lowered before the airdrop?

Somebody working on an Android wallet here, which is good to see: http://forum.auroracoin.org/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=31

Hopefully some other developers (or donors) can pitch in.

It would not surprise me if this coin would pass litecoin at some point. This coin has been on big media channels and it's getting harder and harder to mine.

If OP can make the airdrop work it'll be huge.  Bringing in a bunch of people who haven't touched crypto before is one of the biggest reason DOGE has been a success, and the airdrop could do the same thing.  I think there's a lot of value to being someones first coin.

Even if he could make it work partially it would already be fine. The media hype this coin already creates (and will create more and more once closer to airdrop) will boost this coin for sure.
