I'm looking to do the $99 3 node coin live s version.

LOL
We have out lived https://www.europex.eu
shame i liked that simple little exchange  Cry
------------

@6speed

yes it is crowdfunding ... $50 gets 1 server for 1 year for what I guess is called 'master node'

so you pay $5
i pay $5
Mr. Hand pays $15

once we get to $50 they assign a server/node

you can repeat this crowdfunding for more and more nodes

ps ... you get a block explorer also, but they're not so great (but basically a free perk)
---

We need a website.
(a free one will do)
list the specs, github, etc.

Then we can submit to cryptopia ... things look very good there.

----
ALSO
http://www.multifaucet.tk/index.php?blockexplorer=BCT

that is our one and only 'master node' ATM
(hence the need for more)

but would suggest topping up the faucet as Thanks to multifaucet Wink

I'll support this node but how does it work?  Do I just make the payment and they create and manage the node?

reboot
$50 for the above node
&
a polite email to https://www.europex.eu

that makes BCT an unsinkable lil'tug boat  Cool

ALSO

she's still klunking along

Europex is gone Sad

But the network is still running well.

Maybe you can just spend your $50 to get BCT listed on other exchange...... I would suggest cryptopia.co.nz because they have a 'no delisting' policy and should be quite suitable for the current situation of BCT.

Just my 2 cents. Smiley

How do you contact Europex?  No contact info that I can see.  https://www.europex.eu

You need to be a registered user on Europex to send messages to their support.

Alternatively, just post your working node(s) here, send me PM, and I will help to contact them. I have a quite long-established account there and I usually get responses from their support pretty quickly.

I would like to rent a server to host a bctcoin node.  Any advice?

Or load onto Raspberry Pi

I do some searches and find this: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/free-vps-for-mining-your-favourite-cryptocoin-467026

Of course if you already have Raspberry Pi, you may just use it immediately.

Hope this can help, and hurry up, because I just see following message on Europex.

Quote from Europex:

info! We do not find any working nodes for this coin. It may be unlisted soon. If you have a working wallet, you can help us if you send you result of 'getpeerinfo' in your wallet's console. Thank you.

@Heuristic

Again.

If we can find A+ dev and fair way to make whole all active players, I have no problems with (FORK'n).

But the way I see it is that this coin is way way way way down in the dumps.  The coin count is still good (what 5M?).  The inflation rate nearly nothing at this point.  AND THE DAMN NETWORK ... works!

So what is it that thing they say in tennesse or is it texas  ... never screw with a thing that is working ... I don't know I can't quote worth a GW Bush.

**FACT satoshi did Premine ... who da'fk knew about BTC in 2009-2010 ... all you needed was access to one university computer lab 'botnet'.  And for 10 BCT, prove me wrong that he was'nt blocks 1-10000 while shouting on forums "Hey everybody I have this genius idea on creating intenet money!".  [sorry for the sarcasm but SRSLY?]

Doomed to see the future and unable to prevent it
@Hueristic

maybe, but I think this coin history is like this.

the Dev seemed very legit, he PM'd me often and I was impressed that he was indeed sincere.

But a premine is a premine and post-fact(hindsight) no premine coin has ended well .... looking at you fuelcoin ... my suspicion now is that he spent big BTC getting it listed on Mintpal.  The community rallied with votes and that got BCT listed.  Now I don't think he set out to be a con, but this was summer/fall 2014 and ALL was a con, as it turned out so was Mintpal.  BCT got pumped and dumped and I think the dev faced losses of lots of BTC getting it listed so he sold out.

There is no other way I see it playing out.  Other than abandon the coin, domain, listings, reputation and hope to sweet Virgin Mary than the community persists thru all that BS and the network survives (despite 100s of coins biting the dust) and NEVER EVER reappear in the strange hope that we some how revive BCT for him and then he pops up like Dr. Evil and dumps the premine.

Nah.  Occam's razor.  Some weird twisted theory or the dude dumped long ago?

Too be honest I don't care which is true.  If it makes you happy then you're RIGHT!  I think we should raise the market cap of BCT from what $50 to $50M and then the dev can dump that premine.  And he deserves that right.  Satoshi is sitting on $1,000,000,000.00 worth of premine, and if this coin is designed to survive on the smell of an oily rag he earned it.  Seriously I haven't seen a simpler network than BCT it is like the energizer bunny .. it just keeps going!

W0w dude get your facts straight satoshi did no premine. The hash was even on the date of the day it was released. AFA your logic, well that is a possible scenario and another one is that he said "Fuck it" and just left and then slowly started throwing coins to that faucet when this thread started to revive a little.

I do agree that there was no intention of scam from original DEV. Otherwise I would not be in this thread. I do not do scam coins.

No matter what, the distribution is fucked so that has to be addressed for this coin to EVER be taken seriously. I'm sorry but those are the cold hard facts. And no he doesn't deserve a dumping payday.

The premine being sold is baked into the cake long ago.

want evidence:
exhibit A :: https://www.europex.eu/#!coin/btc/bct  (the market prices would have 2,5 M for sale and the bids at 0) a study of the books reveals the premine was sold off else the oP dev that stole/PM'd the coins is a damn fool.

This link proves nothing.

Quote
exhibit B :: there are members here claiming ownership of 1 M ... how could that be possible without the PM being dumped.  http://www.multifaucet.tk/index.php?blockexplorer=BCT&top_addresses=100

Umm Puppet accounts? Partial selling off the books and about a million other things.

still alive?

Not until Premine is burned.

ok, where's your evidence that it hasn't been burned?  Let's backup our statements.

How about you prove it has.

Am all for a fork that satisfies the following:

1.  Market Listing (they must upgrade in sync)
2.  All active BCT members are made whole
3.  A competent and known dev to complete the fork.
4.  All mining pools (they must upgrade in sync)

not exactly easy, but not impossible too

However letting a working and resilient network keep going is likely the best/simplest route.
