Yep it does and it even seems that there is some effort on ressurecting the coin.
Maybe form an functioning dev team?
I'm in and planning launching a new website and maybe a pool in early January 2015.

Looking forward to that,  Grin

Will trade bct mintpal 'locked in' for my mtgox BTC ... the only +positive I know on Mintpal thievery is that the wallets for some coins indicate no movement.

Do you have an address on the mintpal deposits?

=====================

Actually now that I think of it a chain migration is exactly what we need. We can burn the stolen funds that way.
I totally agree! We must cut off the initial premine or BCT will never be attractive for miners and investors.
I think a hard fork is the only way to do it.

this seems to be on the table ... roadmap?

suggest this:

1.  Claim period (how long?) ... posting address with amount ... then a snapshot
2.  bonus mining 'reboot' period on hardfork say 50k BCT for 90days
3.  5-10-20-50 year sustainable mining schedule (a flat rate of production maybe the best/simplest)
4.  The biggest bag holders help create a re-development fund (mostly for dev and website) /they hold the keys
5.  last but most importantly :: REBRAND discovery of market niche(s)

sixSpeedLS1, so, who will be a new dev?
Btw, if people will just seat and wait, while i trying to resurrect BCT, then this coin will slowly die...  Sad

I forked the wallet on github.  Feel free to add any feedback, etc.  I'll be working on adding some command line options.

Are you capable of switching to POS without a chain migration?

chain migration is very interesting (if Hard fork) ... we could require registered claims granted only to people who can show some activity in helping BCT (like posting comments at the very least) ... that might be a way to 'burn' the stolen charity funds ... BUT

being a Keccak SHA3 is a big plus ... I don't see the advantage of going pure stakes ... if whitesands thinks he can manage a POW/POS hybrid more power but those algos are tricky (Peer is the only one that seems to be reliable).

sixSpeedLS1, what are you going to do with those coins that you not going to dump to the faucet?

There is no solid plan... yet.  We are open to suggestions.  I would like the coin to be used.  I won't lie to you, I spent a lot of electricity to get them so I'm not just going to dump them.
