So I generated a bunch of 25 GB files using a bat:
java -Xmx3000m -cp pocminer.jar;lib/*;lib/akka/*;lib/jetty/* pocminer.POCMiner generate 16130962611852019868 1 100000 4096 3
java -Xmx3000m -cp pocminer.jar;lib/*;lib/akka/*;lib/jetty/* pocminer.POCMiner generate 16130962611852019868 100001 100000 4096 3
java -Xmx3000m -cp pocminer.jar;lib/*;lib/akka/*;lib/jetty/* pocminer.POCMiner generate 16130962611852019868 200001 100000 4096 3
java -Xmx3000m -cp pocminer.jar;lib/*;lib/akka/*;lib/jetty/* pocminer.POCMiner generate 16130962611852019868 300001 100000 4096 3
...

so I ended up with:
16130962611852019868_1_100000_4096
16130962611852019868_100001_100000_4096
16130962611852019868_200001_100000_4096
16130962611852019868_300001_100000_4096
...

And I left pocminer_pool on the v2 pool for about half a day with a few hundred TB's and even though 90% of the time the miner says "No valid shares to submit to a pool" I do seem to have some accepted shares but my address never appeared on the payment list only on the user list. I also started solomining on the same plots for the same duration but both java.exe's only read ~22 GB of data in over half a day.

16130962611852019868 is not on the user list, and therefore has not done a reward assignment to the pool. What address are you looking for and finding on the user list?

Basetarget is down to 6164702.
Thats ~3000TB network size!

what was network size like 4 days ago before the big pump?

We have to wait before we can speak about a big pump! You'll see!  Grin

Big miners are dumping.. Take a look at this wallet..! BURST-2LGM-MPKF-Y7DM-8BTBY

They are right, sure, it's free money and they'are cashing out, but we need an exchange with more volume to increase the buy orders! Lot of people simply don't want to trade on c-cex!

So with all this storage being used to mine, would it be possible to create something like storj is working on? Lets say mining period is 1 year (for example) then after we enter a stage of POS/decentralized cloud storage?

Yes , Any new info for the pocminer written in C and not in java ( java is very very slow  Sad ) .

95% done, but usable if you add your passphrase to the code manually.
- a lot faster
- multithreaded
- multiple plot directories
- uses almost no memory
- for solo mining only (I guess)

Go to line 101 and put your passphrase in. Remember to replace spaces with +
Then compile (gcc -o mine mine.c shabal.o -lpthread)

When running always end the path's with /
so:

Code:
> ./mine 127.0.0.1 /mnt/disk1/plots/ /mnt/disk2/plots/ /mnt/disk3/plots/

its working for pool mining at http://burst-pool.cryptoport.io

but sometime it get segfault when  new block event, do you know why? but if i run inside gdb its ok, no problem at all, is it thread problem maybe?

{"result":"Passphrase is for a different account"}

these are some of the case :
- did your account have public key? (done atleast 1 output tx)
- reward assignment transaction done? if its done, its maybe your reward assignment not confirmed yet by network
- you are using wrong miner, you can't use miner for solo, there are one more field on post request on pool mining which is accountId, pool will detect if you have accountId field, it will ignore passphrase, if you dont have it, pool will read passpharase and redirect for solo mining (in this case your secret passphrase is wrong for your account)

Problem solved! I was using the wrong public key (pool v1), now with my public key (solo) it's all done and I'm mining Smiley

welldone hope u get rich!

Everyting is ok now Uray ? can i join your pool ... i mean the payment system is ok ?

so far its good, until i found next bug

Nothing wrong here. You'll see the read error if the plot is still generating while you mine, but it's not a problem. Pool's target is rather difficult, so you won't get valid shares every block, so nothing wrong there either. Deadletters warning sometimes shows up when a new block is detected before you finished handleing the previous one, and can be safely ignored.

Damn. You mean I had it right? Smiley Well now I have to resubmit my address again.

Thanks for responding because I was about to give up!

For the people who are confused: V2 Pool allows you to mine with your solo plots. You do NOT have to regenerate plots if you have solo plots. v1 pool users can keep mining without doing anything. the v1 -> v2 migration for v1 pool users will be transparent to them, and not require them to do anything.

I followed your instructions exactly and I can't mine your pool. All shares were rejected because of an error reading the plot file. I can solo mine but too hard to get blocks so unless I can get it to work I can't mine.

Can I mine the pool while the plot file is being created or would that be the source of my problem?

I removed my address from the pool for now and depending on your advice will determine what I do.

Thanks.
