i cant recall whether this was answered before but can you have multiple miner instances point to a v2 pool mining to the same burst address? i've got a second instance pointed to the pool but have yet to see it submit a valid share. It could just be it hasn't found one yet which is very likely as i've justed started plotting on this second PC. just wanted to check it does work though.
Should be fine.

i have multiple HDD on different computer mining to the same pool generated address (v1) , all the HDD is using exactly the same setting (same nouce starting and ending number) , all of them mining generate the same "generationSignature" and i overlaying ?

Based on what I learned today, most definitely.

HD 1 C:\Windows\SysWOW64\java -Xmx1000m -cp pocminer.jar;lib/*;lib/akka/*;lib/jetty/* pocminer.POCMiner generate 4651495086655359966 1 10800000 1000 4
HD 2 C:\Windows\SysWOW64\java -Xmx1000m -cp pocminer.jar;lib/*;lib/akka/*;lib/jetty/* pocminer.POCMiner generate 4651495086655359966 1 5400000 1000 4
HD 3 C:\Windows\SysWOW64\java -Xmx1000m -cp pocminer.jar;lib/*;lib/akka/*;lib/jetty/* pocminer.POCMiner generate 4651495086655359966 1 3720000 1000 4
HD 4 C:\Windows\SysWOW64\java -Xmx1000m -cp pocminer.jar;lib/*;lib/akka/*;lib/jetty/* pocminer.POCMiner generate 4651495086655359966 1 2840000 1000 4
HD 5 C:\Windows\SysWOW64\java -Xmx1000m -cp pocminer.jar;lib/*;lib/akka/*;lib/jetty/* pocminer.POCMiner generate 4651495086655359966 1 2400000 1000 4
HD 6 C:\Windows\SysWOW64\java -Xmx1000m -cp pocminer.jar;lib/*;lib/akka/*;lib/jetty/* pocminer.POCMiner generate 4651495086655359966 1 3200000 1000 4

They all overlap  Sad

> 4651495086655359966 1 10800000 1000 4

this generates nonces from 1 to (1+ 10800000 -1)

the next one generates the same nonces.

The second one should be:
HD 2 C:\Windows\SysWOW64\java -Xmx1000m -cp pocminer.jar;lib/*;lib/akka/*;lib/jetty/* pocminer.POCMiner generate 4651495086655359966 10800000 5400000 1000 4

then:
HD 3 C:\Windows\SysWOW64\java -Xmx1000m -cp pocminer.jar;lib/*;lib/akka/*;lib/jetty/* pocminer.POCMiner generate 4651495086655359966 16200000 3720000 1000 4

I'm afraid you have to delete Your plots on HD2 to HD6 and redo them.

You need to use different starting nonce on each, any overlap in ranges is wasted space.

please advice , if i have a two indentical hard drives and one of the hard drive has completed to plot  and i will copy the disk to the second one it will work ?
or every disk need to be plotted separatelly ?

Need to be plotted seperatly. Copying the plot files will just result in both doing the same work and getting the same results.

will v1 pool be close down ? I am new and mining at v1 pool
v1 pool might get converted to a v2, however it will be up and you will be able to keep using the same plots either way.

with v1 i am able to mine using exchange wallet address to generate mining address but v2 i have to download wallet because of pass phase. Am i correct ?
Correct. with v1 you can register any address and the coins will be sent there. v2 has a more complicated procedure. With v1, your plot files are only usable on that pool, but with v2 you aren't stuck to one pool.

in that case v1 is much more easier to use because i don't need to download and setup wallet and i don't need 1 burst

what happens in you rename your plots? for example

16036893174223139082_1_1800000_1000

i had to stop it at 500000... to avoid confusing the over lap tool could i rename it to

16036893174223139082_1_500000_1000  ?

This way its ok. But never change stagger size or starting nonce.

You know you messed up when you get huge huge deadlines.

if i wanted to know the exact nonce it stopped on could i divide the size of the file by like 256 times the stagger level or something so i have a accurate list?

Just divide the size in bytes by 262144, thats the total number of nonces.

2.72 TB divided by 256 KB, minus a GB or two for miner files.........

I really hate how it is technically 3 trillion bytes in size and they have the balls to tell you that is 3.00 GB instead of the 2.72 GB it actually is.

I get about 11400000 nonces on one of them.

Technically 1KB is 1000 Bytes, like 1 kilowatt (KW) is also 1000W, not 1024. Its windows thats using the wrong units here.

On the hard drive I have connected, it shows 3,000,260,562,944 bytes available after formatting.

Hold out 5 GB for free space and miner software, leaving 2,995,260,562,944 bytes available.

11,400,000 times 262,144 (number of bytes in 256 Kb) = 2,988,441,600,000 bytes.  It fits! Grin

is there a way to look at the pool and tell how many GB you are utilizing? by the share count or something i have my first TB complete and want to make sure the plots are working

im still curious about this question, does anyone have a way to tell?
