Dev, mind adding a link to the OP to my review of BURST? Maybe create a news section?   Smiley

tell me pls. i run generate with
java -Xmx1000m -cp pocminer.jar;lib/*;lib/akka/*;lib/jetty/* pocminer.POCMiner generate my_account_id 1048576  1348576 1000 4

But i see in window
Writing from nonce 1493576
Generating from nonce: 1494576

wtf? O.o

All OK. You generate all the way from 1048576 to (1048576 + 1348576) with this command

Too confusing for my setup currently it seems, as by using the same wallet address + not having my nonce all different on different systems I've effectively been mining with one 1TB HD instead of the 4+ that are now 100% full and have not hit a single block in over 5 days + issues from Java randomly rebuilding the plots and stressing the CPU and drives when there are better CPU coins available to mine with no effort.
I'll check back later when a better mining program is available or pools that can show my effective rate and coin income.

i have no idea if im running this correctly lol. I can get the miner running and i guess i put my wallet id in the adress text file, what else do i need to do?

Quickstart(for windows):
Sync your clock. Go to set date/time -> Internet time, and manually make it sync.
Java must be installed and runnable from the command line.
Put a long password in passphrases.txt
Run run_dump_address.bat
Copy the long number generated after your password from address.txt
Now you can run run_generate.bat like this "run_generate.bat 8191
The number of plots should be a multiple of 8191.
This will generate plots with nonces from up to . Don't make overlapping ranges.
When your client is running and synced, run run_mine.bat to start mining.
You can mine while still generating plots. The miner will throw some read errors, but you can ignore them.
Use the password from the passphrase before to access your coins in the wallet.

Also, please post your HW setup.

Just a reminder, if you want to contribute, here is a spreadsheet of mining data: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1uaXMLjLt90Ms1oRjcjz-eYPOkARtNS8JdrKFKOJdg4o/edit?pli=1#gid=0

i added some options to my plot size which depends on how the coin gets traded.
90tb plots are sure, anything above i have to figure out when time passes ;-)

how to allocate 90TB???
wich kind of architecture?
windows?
linux?
 Cool
currently i only run a test cluster on centos to play a bit.
the final setup will be freebsd and zfs based.
currently my blockrate slows down a bit. found the last block 3 hours ago...
seems that the network grows which is good.

Is that storage put to use or simply wasted as hashing power in Bitcoin?

As I remember, in Storj, people can actually store stuff on that disk space.

90tb plots i generate for sure, anything above i have to figure out when later. half a pb is my current set limit to store.
if its profitable i may also double the amount but then i hope to be able to generate the plotfiles on gpus.

block 2956 took again almost 17 minutes !
