@burstcoin: you are AWESOME!
@Wulfcastle: Thx for all that work, its so GOOD looking :-)

bouth of you should publish a burst address, so that we can donate!

This is my Burst address if anyone wants to donate for my work on the new Wallet UI, the new logo and the new OP. I've provided all my work free of charge and I don't ask for bounties, because improving BURST is a benefit to me as I see great potential for it. Donations are still welcome though Smiley - BURST-CKUG-2DLF-KNL6-EETXA

5k from me incomming ... thx again!

Thanks for the donations everyone Smiley. I'll still be here designing for Burst.

What I'd really like to do next is create a front-end for POCMiner, kind of like GUIMiner, though coding isn't my expertise. If anyone can code a front end for POCMiner I can design the UI. PM me if anyone is interested in this task and is capable of it's requirements.

If I've 2 separate HDD, can I plot in each one starting from position 0? Or are they overlapping?
I mean, 2 separate HDD, can overlap?
I'm using a miner for each HDD
yes, they are overlapped. use different nounces or different wallets.I tested it that before and lost one day in generating plots...

Good, it's a week that I'm wasting about 50% of my space..  Sad

And what if:

Number of nonces (1600000) is not a multiple of stagger size (8191)?

Because I'm mining and finding block, so does it affect mining?
And if I use seam nounces on two separate PC's,they will not overlapping?Or this will affect mining?

If you are working on two different wallet, with two password there is no problem, they will not overlap, but if you are using the same password on each PC for generate the plot, they will overlap!

(Correct me if I'm wrong)

Just ignore it, its just a few MB's that are wasted.

> And if I use seam nounces on two separate PC's,they will not overlapping?Or this will affect mining?

They do overlap! You need to use seperate ranges.

You are correct. Anyway I dont get the point why everyone is trying to pack their ranges as close together as possible. You have 2^64 to choose from, and block finding changes are equal for all of them.
So why not start the next one at 10M? 1G? 10G?

[/quote]I woke up to find my miner working on a 3.2 TB plot had closed itself. It was running on the default 750m. I guess I need to boost it up a bit

I have been having this issue also since the wallet upgrade. 2 miner instances. one is on an external drive (usb 3.0) The miner for the internal drive is stable but the external has to be restarted once or twice a day. Plot creation was still going on for the external.

Anyone else having this issue?

I stopped plot creating and I am letting it run to see if that could be the issue.

Just so that everyone knows, whoever was following my issues with my server...

I didn't have any other crashes yesterday after adding pause to my batch...

Now, however, I have changed the x amount to 1500 on both miners as they are (or will be) pushing around 2.5 TB a piece...

So far so good... I am pretty sure that was the issue, but I still can't be 100%

I am now also moving the rest of my plotting onto a VM as to not interfere with anything on my important server.

Thank you everyone for your assistance!

at 1350m for me on 2.1TB plot looking stable for me now. running for over half a day now which is a whole lot better than yesterday. so it does appear to be more ram required with larger plot sizes.

The staggering is the number of nounces you compute before write everything into file, it depends on the ram available and thats all, you can choose any number you like and it will work unless you choose a number too high for the ram available, that's why 8096 is the limit, 8096 * 256kb = ~2gb

I've only used 512 to 2048 and trust me, i am mining fine.

Rich List isn't fully currect. I own just over 410 000 Burst and my address isn't anywhere on the list : BURST-CKUG-2DLF-KNL6-EETXA

Shit...lemme check.

Update:
Did you ever mine a block or buy in? Because if you havent mined any you would not be looked up...is there a public nxt block explorer i can setup for burst before i start parsing every transaction...

Didn't mine anything so far, bought all my coins.

You have to make an outgoing transaction to save your public key in the blockchain! You can also buy a name for your wallet per 1 Burst! Look in the wallet homepage, near your wallet address you'll see "No name set": click here!

I quote the dev:

Quote
One more thing is you should make an outgoing transaction. Your full public key isn't saved into the blockchain until you do. Almost any type of transaction will suffice, send yourself 1 burst, or buy an alias, or set your account name.

Assuming this is you:
http://127.0.0.1:8125/burst?requestType=getAccountPublicKey&account=BURST-ZEN7-MS5U-L59L-5UK39
shows if your key is saved or not

EDIT:

Sorry, I've seen now you have already done this.. So don't know! Wait for someone more expert!!  Cheesy
