These recent posts are extremely hilarious.

1. BURST is not dead.

2. Mining BURST isn't dead either.

3. LOL

4. The VIRAL "working together" accusation comes from a FUDder against VIRAL without reason at all. Not to mention there was never anyone working with anyone. I took it upon myself to get some promo through the VIRAL network, which I believe to be a strong advertising platform.

5. If you don't like it... I don't care. Any advertising is good, and however you feel about VIRAL, 55 thousand REAL twitter followers saw some great ads for BURST, and I'm 100% sure it brought more people to the coin.

6. Bitladen, chill bro.

7. The network size of BURST has done nothing but INCREASE.

8. Prices right now are just another reason to BUY MORE.

9. I will be BUYING MORE.

10. Dump right into my lap, I'm ready. Wink

11. This is number 11. The number that comes after 10 and before 12.

That is all.

Since I saw BURST working with VIRAL I have lost all respect, slowly dumping my coins.

I would hardly define a promo being run through VIRAL as BURST working with VIRAL. Don't you think?

so dead?
I rememberr when price was 800 satoshi

This seems to be a popular quote nowadays: 'Reports of BURST death have been greatly exaggerated' Smiley

This coin definitely needs more miners.

If you look at the forge stats ( http://burstcoin.eu/charts/addresses-by-forged-blocks/day ) you can see that with an investment of ~100k USD or somewhere around 5k/month in rentals you can "take over" 20-25% of the network. bin/laden has about 2 PB going, and if someone else is in it in a more distributed approach w/multiple accounts we cannot even see that.

We're in sort of a trap here. As long as the running costs (forget about ROI at the moment) eat up 60-110% of earnings this is not going to change. At least bin/laden is throwing this kind of money on the project, so he either is in for the long run and/or we'll see some spectacular p&d in a few months. I'm still in - this coin will become popular.

I would welcome more miners. However, to get more miners you need to pay decent rewards. Ever since I showed up on this thread I keep saying the same thing: Increase block reward!  Miners will then come.

I seriously do not want to be in the position where I have over 50% of the hashpower, though by the looks of it, I will soon.

I will tell you right now, if I do get over 50% I will 51% attack and block transaction processing until the block reward is increased, or only process transactions with higher fees.

But please, do not let me do it, get more miners, increase reward now!

I might be wrong, but reason why price is in the toilet might be partly because of oversupply but also lack of organization and leadership from a good developing team, where's Dev anyways? hasn't posted anything since April  Roll Eyes

You're right, though to be exact, is because of the high deflation schedule which means that coins were mined in the beginning extremely cheap, which leads to oversupply.
To combat this they should have at least dumped all of them in the start, at any price, to make the market, instead they held on to it, like that's going to make them millionaires.

so dead?
I rememberr when price was 800 satoshi

it did have 800 satoshi value, but the volume was close to 0.
now its 70 but at 9 btc volume, that's starting to look more like a market today.

So it's hardly dead, it's just coming alive. But I expect more dumps before it actually rises. But do dump some, if you keep holding on to it, in 6 months it will be at 5 satoshis.

well this pormo got spammy and the burst price got low and the mining got worst i guess i just use my 6Tb for data the mingin burst in ools or whatever just gor like 77.000 satoshis per day i do spend like 40.000 per day in eletrecity its just a 33.000 income in 6 Tb im not going to mine any more any one with me says that the coin its going to die a bit

Perhaps that won't be your opinion when u realize that you're securing a decentralized network, which by passes the banks etc. Wouldn't you give up 6 tb to get rid of all the banks in this world? Burst has the most features of any coin, so support it and maybe we will ditch the banks. BTC sure hasn't been able to do it. And won't, it is not decentralized enough, and far too energy consuming,]. PoS is pretty much a bank in itself, rich getting richer, which leaves PoC, which is 30x more efficient than pow(@mczarnek thx for the stats). Also, don't just mine Burst, market it!!! Word of mouth will get us places. An online ad somewhere is nowhere near as interesting as a friend telling u about this kewl new technology.

So a basic Sybil attack. The way Storj handles this is that each miner/farmer has to have some SJCX on balance. That way you can't startup a large cluster to attack the network without loosing money yourself.

i am not familar with the term sybil attack.
if this means you are rewarded less for mining if you provide much for the network i am not sure how to trace this for multiple accounts.
for vaxman's question regarding how many people mine with several accounts i did a quick analysis in my mysql database to identify shared exchange deposit addresses.
currently i did this only for polo but thats where the volume is. for now i did not check wether mined or traded coins were send.
also accounts which have not transfered out their balances are ignored.
i hope nobody has any problems if i post my results in public since nothing is disclosed from any non public source and everything is extracted from the blockchain  Tongue

http://pastebin.com/AiU1FjEv

the list shows all sender addresses which have made a deposit to a burst address which has send funds to the polo hot wallet.
if one deposit address occurs for several sender i am pretty sure these wallets are controlled by a group or by individual people.
to check how many burst were deposited onto each wallet you can simply use any blockexplorer or create your own based on my mysql burst backend.

Thanks for all the help on the Api guys, though I was still having issues with it. I'll try again soon.

Please go to http://localhost:8125/test to see all existing api. dividendPayment and getAccountAssetCount doesn't seem to exist.

some request need to be done via POST only request (all that need passphrase I think).

Those may be newer than the newest merge with Nxt and not yet integrated into Burst.. think those are fairly new functions.. at least dividend payment totally guessing regarding the other one that it's the same issue.
