Wallet sholud work ok on fresh W& install with all updates, latest java (i'm not sure about flash?) and IExplorer. I did it few times lately and after syncing all worked fine. Have you done all Windows updates?
latest JAWA & IE - already!
but windows updates.... why?!

can I install some of them? (SP1 exists)

I don't exactly know which one is necessary, but without some updates I also had problems to run wallet. So I download them all just to be sure.

I think Burst needs a rehaul to get rid of botnets and become more secure, hopefully the core dev team are working on a solution.
I bored with burstcoin wallet

I just downloaded blockchain, made some deposit and withdrawl
But my wallet still have no public key

If I try to make plot, It reporting "Your burst account is not activated, mistyped or does not exist"

I made it twice on 2 different PCs with Windows 7 and Windows 10

What else do I need to do?

OR?!

can I mine burst without this buggy wallet
directly to poloniex adress for example ?

PS. this wallet needs jawa (okay), Internet Explorer (usualy uninstalled on my PC), it asking for adobe flash.... may be it needs windows xp or 98 to works better and faster ?!
PPS. sorry for my english

Agreed. But people running the show seem to have no interest in doing that. Are the core team even actively doing anything?

As i know, early dev abandon project. Now i don't know if anyone is working on development..  Roll Eyes Huh
I think Crowetic was lead dev, after original dev abandoned the project, but Crowetic said, what he is leaving this project. This is the reason of price drop right now

Someone found disk under $30/TB on newegg, so I'm lowering the TB price to $25/TB.

Total price in USD would be ~1750. With current bitcoin price it would be 0,7BTC.

I'm not objective, but 0.7BTC/1750USD for a decent sized BURST farm isa damn fine price, addning free shipping and escrow.

Hi,

Due to a move I need to selling a larger part of my HDD, You wanna start a mine or build it? Here is the whole add, have a look: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.19979094 Lowever prices than on newegg.

PM me if interested!

I'm selling 71,5 terrabyte of my disks/farm (I have more but I leave them out for now). All are  SATA and checked the last week for error; all put up for sell work.

THE DISKS
Total Size        No. Disks & Size
1500                  (3 500gb)
3000                  (3 1000gb
2000                  (1 2000gb)
21000                (7 3000gb
16000                (4 4000gb)
20000                (4 5000gb)
8000                  (1 8000gb)
--------------------
71500 gb (I hope i got that correct lol)

Logistics
I will pay escrow (OgNasty has accepted to handle it), and i pay trackable shipment. Living in Sweden, shipment in the Nordic Euruope will be faster. Leaving in Gothenburg, Sweden, we can close the deal to night.

I am foremost looking for one byer who will by them all, but if the interest for parts of the collection that can be considered later on.

Price
Looking at newegg, I can't find any disk with a price lower than $30/TB (https://goo.gl/Srg3LN). Since these are used, although modestly, and checked for errors (4TB was found dead and removed) I ask for 30 US dollar per TB (sold in the BTC price when the deal is done) As of today, the price would be around ~0,85BTC

Picture

Sorry for the photo quality (cell...). The white paper label on the disk was for to remember which I ones checked (took quite a bit of time the to do).

Age
Age vary, of cource, but with three and five year warranty on disk these days almost all of the disk will have an active warranty.

Newegg has been running a sale on one of the HGST 3TB drives (refurb) for $55, but I dunno if that's still going or not.

I think the next lowest even on refurb is around $25/TB and NEW drives $30+ (Seagate Archive 8TB when it's on sale sometimes a little less than that though but non-Archive drives are usually quite a bit higher per TB).

There is one archive in collection, that's all.

If you think the price is too high, let me know what you think is fair in the main thread: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/wts-hdd-sata-71tb-2006884

With these disk you get a really nice farm, espeshilly when considering the high price.

Also remember I pay shipment and escrow.

The idea of hdd mining is cool, but it is not enough to make burst successful. Using hard drives for shared storage like storj  seems much more attractive, because it also provides valuable service to people. So even if there is no or little profit, there is something good as a result.

Is that why the price is tanking?
Yep, it means that Burst coin is more attractive for miners than traders or believers. It looks like miners are selling coins to cover the costs and thats why price is sinking..

I have been watching Burst for a long time. There were many cool moments, but what is happening now is really unpleasant. My hopes were great, but for some time now the whole project seems to me just speculation.
Can anyone explain to me what is going on?

Easy, a month ago we have only 40/50 petabytes on burstcoin network, now we have 80/100 petabytes.

I think it's not too late, but solo mining is pretty much over unless you have some monster rig put together.

I mine with around 5 TB at the moment(on pool of course) and i get average of ~50 BURST a day (sometimes 150,sometimes 30,but it averages out at 50 a day). Taking into consideration that mining uses almost no extra electr. i thing it's still profitable Wink

Please, don't lie, you CAN'T get 10 burst/day per TB now. You get hardly 4 or 5 burst/day per TB. Network size is over 100 PB right now, half a million coins every day for 100000 TB. To get 10 coin/day per TB you have to cut in half current network size.

Good catch! That's why i love crypto! There is no option to cheat with mathematic!

Anyway i don't know why people dont use commonly available mining calculator  Cheesy

It gets complex, but one thing that you can do is run a local pool, mine a few boxes to that pool and shoot that pool to the network pool.  It is not as helpful as with other algos and it is a brain twister getting the reward rec'pts right, but there is a small improvement.
