unsoindovo, it is no surprise that you are getting low payments with 60TB on lexitoshi. They give more payouts to small miners.

That's weird, I get the same amount and I have 40TB only but I guess it's a matter consistency and no mining calculator is able to predict change in price or difficulty but the calculator works as good as the one from burstcoin.biz

Or if you use AIO wallet miner does almost everything for you.

Burst payputs are not as complex as the pool systems for other coins, but there is little info about it and it is displayed in a pretty hard to read system.  But, most pools use one of a couple site templates, so they all are about the same. 

your calculator is nice.. but it have the problems of all other burst profit calculators... is not accurate and could be misleading.
I have 60TB plotted and i'm mining 24H on pool.
i read all 60TB in less than 65secs average...
but i'm not able to do more than 275/285 burst/day.

 You need 2 coin to set your address up for use with a pool (one for the actual setup, one for the transaction fee) as I recall.

 Depends on the plotter - wplotgenerator does NOT optimise plots, IME with it.

I am confused at how the shares are computed on burstcoin pools. I am new to burstcoin and to cryptocurrencies in general, and probably naive, so I would appreciate any explanation here.

Looking at the available pools for mining burstcoin, I noticed that most of them (if not all) use one of two formulas for converting deadlines into shares:

1: share is proportional to 1/deadline^0.75 (burst.lexitoshi.uk, pool.burstcoin.ml, pool.burstcoin.ro, ...)
2: share is proportional to 1/deadline^1.2 (burst.ninja, pool.burstcoin.eu, pool.burst-team.us, pool.burstcoin.sk, ...)

Suppose that I have P terabytes of plots. If I got it correctly, my deadlines are independent exponentially distributed random variables with rate proportional to P.

I did a rough computation and obtained that expectation of the share I receive is proportional to:

1: P^0.75
2: P^1.2

Both cases seem equally strange. Imagine that Bob mines with 1TB and Alice mines with 10TB. Then

1: Alice gets significantly less shares per TB than Bob (by a factor of 10^(0.75-1) = 0.56)
2: Alice gets significantly more shares per TB than Bob (by a factor of 10^(1.2-1) = 1.58)

And if Bob mines with 1 TB but Alice mines with 100TB, the difference in payouts per terabyte is much greater (by factors of 0.32 and 2.51 respectively)!

In this situation, an obvious strategy would be to mine with many workers with small plots on the pools with the exponent 0.75, or to cooperate with others and mine with one account with huge plots, and dominate the pool with the exponent 1.2.

Another issue is that some pools do not accept large deadlines. It also does not seem right, but I did not make any estimates of the effect of this.

I hope I am wrong somewhere, I would be grateful for any feedback and clarifications.

So you think SoloMining with 20TB is worth it? it mostly depends on Luck i know, but overall...what you would prefer? and with which HDD Capacity you would go Solomining?

I think it's not too late,but solo mining is pretty much over unless you have some monster rig put together.

I mine with around 5 TB at the moment(on pool of course) and i get average of ~50 BURST a day (sometimes 150,sometimes 30,but it averages out at 50 a day). Taking into consideration that mining uses almost no extra electr. i thing it's still profitable

Tried some Faucets all dry. It is frustrating trying to get started and figuring out how to get Burstcoin to get started and then have to resort to begging... Can anyone help me out? I will repay when I get the miner up and running. BURST-R5EH-WL8Q-KV2K-E7XFX

is still worth it to have some hdd to mine this coin or too late to the party? the diff keep increase at crazy rate? it was profitable not long time ago but after that the value tanked and i'm not sure anymore about the profit in mining

You just need to understand the difference between plotting and mining. Plotting is allocating,or prepping hdd for mining. In that process HDD space is reserved,and than filled wit something (doesn't really matter what ). You need to do this only once.

"Mining" is reading through drive and searching for some specific dataset. It's not very intensive process(essentially,it's just normal reading of data from HDD ),and CPU can easily manage this (unless you have idk,200TB of HDD-s )

So,conclusion- it's much faster to plot a drive with GPU,you only plot drive once,and for mining any normal CPU will do fine.

So,if it's only important for mining BURST,go with Ryzen (but that PII 955 that you already have will do just fine

Something like that. But,only thing that really matters is just plain amount of TB allocated. That's your "hashpower",to use GPU mining analogy. Just space It's not important how fast drives are,just tottal amount of space.

I mean i want to Invest into a CPU or a GPU soon, but i dont know which has more Value to mining so far. Of course i will get some TB HDDs too.

And once the Plots are made, how long can i use the plots or how does it work? Like i mine them, and when its over i plot again? Thats the only thing i didnt get so far , and it depends on what i invest i guess.

Either a AMD Ryzen or a GTX ?
