It can take a while to download the blockchain.  Try using the online wallet in the meantime.  There are also online wallet options at burstnation.com.

Anyone else seeing network quality declining? Mine has gone from 99% to 82% in the past few minutes and still declining. Last block is 353958.

UPDATE: just went back to 100%. Never seen that before. Not sure what causes it.

Well, I have a WD Black 1tb sata3 64mb hdd and just bought a ICY DOCK EZ-Dock MB981U3S-1S 2.5"/3.5" SATA HDD/SSD USB 3.0 & eSATA Docking Station .

I will be using usb3 as connection.

Will this be fine mining burstcoin on an icy dock or has it never been done before?

Laptop is an acer Predator G9-591.

Edit:
And what is with plotting with gpu rather cpu, any info on this?

USB3 is more than sufficient, the dock is no problem.
For more in-depth info, look here; https://forums.burst-team.us/category/8/mining-plotting

Thanks.

Both plotting options/speeds vary greatly on your hardware.

Using the built on CPU plotter from the AIO wallet (which uses Xplotter) generates the the plots for you all OPTIMIZED. Usually the longest process (unless you have a nice dual xeon setup). Depending on your know-how when it comes to configuring software switches, this is generally what most people use when they first get started.

Using the GPU plotter option with gpuPlotGenerator in BUFFER mode plots in UNOPTIMIZED mode. Plots finish faster than CPU plotting, but the read times of the harddrive will generally be slower when the miner accesses the plots. You will be up and runner quicker, but at a performance cost when mining. It's up to the individual to see if they want to deal with it or not.

Using the GPU plotter option with gpuPlotGenerator in DIRECT mode plots in OPTIMIZED mode. Plots finish slower compared to Buffer mode, but ends up being Optimized just like the CPU plot. Depending on your video card, this usually will finish plotting the drives for your quicker than a CPU plot.

The other benefit of GPU plotting, is that you can plot multiple hard drives simultaneously.

I wonder if plotting with a 6700HQ or a overclocked gtx970M would be better?

Hi all!!
i have a question about mining plots.
If i have 4 hdd, and i want to do parallel mining, with 4 .bat files, how to assign 1 thread each, automatically?

hi im sorry cant help with your question, i am not yet mining burst but can you tell me why you need parallel mining? isnt it more efficient (from power to infracstructure) to just using 1 .bat files? thank you Smiley

I really hate this but I hope someone can help me out here.

I just sended 1 btc worth Burst from poloniex to Bittrex. When I withdraw my burst I added the adress in poloniex and sended my coins. Now after a day I still recieved nothing and surprisingly i see the following message on the deposit wallet of Bittrex: ''When depositing, please send your message unencrypted.
If the message is not included in your transfer, we cannot credit your account. Please do not directly deposit from an exchange or pool unless they allow you to specify a message.
'' Now is my question when i withdraw from poloniex i didnt see a column other then Amount to send and to which adress. And second, I was in a hury with sending my coins and I never expected this kind of transfere.

Are my coins lost now? That would be reall really bad for my to see 1BTC worth on brust gone like nothing. Why is this so complicated to transfer burst to Bittrex. Please can someone help me out here.

Find out the exact transaction Poloniex used after you initiated the transfer (usually within 10 blocks).

( All you need is visible on the blockchain, you just need your browser and a wallet, (online or local).
Search for the destination address and the amount you transferred (minus Polo's fee) - that is the one. )

Send the transaction number to Bittrex Support, explaining your error and asking them to transfer to your Bittrex account.
Be polite, you have made the mistake, wait patiently.

Bittrex is very clear about depositing, you did not read or understand their guideline. It happens.

Hi the problem is as follow:

Here i Cant find my transaction : http://burstcoin.biz
Here i found my transaction : https://wallet.burst-team.us:8128

Transaction 15104632989918454416

Why i cant find my transaction on the blockexplorer on the website burstcoin.biz?
Is my transaction sended by poloniex or what? Did Bittrex receive my coins but could not assign them to the right wallet because i didn't add the message?
How can i solve this, by contact bittrex support? But If i send them my transaction id it cant be found on the blockexplorer.

You initiated a transfer from Polo to Bittrex.
So the transaction is from the Polo hotwallet to the Bittrex hotwallet.
Bittrex cannot identify the intended recipient, because you didn't include your recipient code
in the message field. You can't add any message when sending from (any?) exchange, that is
why Bittrex states, very clearly, "do not send diretcly from other exchanges". Other exchanges
use other methods for deposits, that's just the way it is.

Again, now contact Bittrex support, explain the mistake you have made, document it
by including the transaction number and ask for deposit to your account.

burstcin.biz has its problems from time to time, if you look at the blocks registered for
the specific day with your polo/btrex transfer;

http://burstcoin.biz/blocks/2017-04-15

you'll find that the block list is not consecutive - some error prevented the system from ingesting
all blocks info into the database. That also means all other info may be or is incomplete/bogus.

_I_ do all transactions, checks, research on my own "wallet". If you're shuffling these amounts
of money, you perhaps should do the same. Plus some research into the specifics of systems
involved. Cool

Problem solved thx to bittrex. Ty for the help

Any plans for an airdrop with this? Might help get traction
There are faucets, promos, you can still mine this coin very cheap compared to others or buy it with some satoshis you maybe have earned somewhere. Wink

Remember, Burst had a take over some time ago, this coin was like reborn and is still very young!

Wifi isn't a pro solution, there is far too much problems with it (stability, security, jamming, radiation emission and so on), especially when you concentrate many wifi devices in a small space, recipe for disasters, believe in the wire or the optical fibers, it's been proven to be the best ! As we demonstrated you can get very cheap switch & cables. go for them ! Don't be cheap, and go for the easiest / cheaper solution you'll come to regret it when you're losing mining time.

I have a QNAP nas with 10 HDDs split in 4 different folder where I have stored the plot, on container station I have 4 Linux VM running URAY BURST MINER (LINUX X64) in order to have a parallels submission of the deadline, is that behaviour correct or is better use a single VM with all plots ?

It will use less resources if you mine with one instance in one vm.
You may use a serial or parallel approach, that depends on # of cores and bandwith available.
