Greetings! Has the burst-coin some certain potential for growth? Is she someone shall need?

BURST has huge potential...I can't believe more aren't mining it!

You BURST coin miners must have all voted for Cankles, Hillary "The Criminal" Clitton.  That's the only way you could still be stupid enough to be hanging on to this coin that has gone NOWHERE in the last 2 years, just like I said would happen.

Idiots.  I just checked, and your coin is worth 1/20th of a cent.  Practically worthless.  And still there are people going "oh no, hang on, it'll come up".

No, it won't.

More aren't mining it, because we are too smart to waste the effort on a worthless crapcoin.

The coin is amazing mate!! huge potentials for me!

But why should the price rise? Why do people buy this coin, please explain?

Well from my point of view:

-  The HDD mining and the green/eco friendly implications are huge.  Not just to actually mine, but I think that aspect has been attracting people to BURST.
-  There is a hard market cap.  While there will be a lot of coins (will max out at 2.1 billion) unlike say dodgecoin it is capped, which will help to drive the price up.
-  It is a "people's coin" in that there was no ICO, not a quick money making grab.  BURST was created and taken over by the community.
-  A very strong community (very important) and team of developers.
-  Features previously mentioned, and I'll add there will be an app released soon anyone can use to mine on their android phone.  I believe there will also be a decentralized BURST cloud.  And just seems to be many projects in the pipeline.

-The only coin that can be minded with your hard disk (the only one that use Proof Of Capacity)
-The first coin that implemented Turing complete smart contracts
-Decentralized asset exchange for Investment
-Decentralized Marketplace
-Decentralized crowdfunding
-Amazing community

I'm on linux and I'm using dcct miner, but it looks it has 100000 bugs and It do not work.
Some linux miner out there that can actually mine burst, and If so how.

Head over to the Forum where people will gladly help you;
http://forums.burst-team.us:4567/category/8/mining-plotting

A little more effort in describing your problem would help a lot, though.
I've been running dcct for 20 months, and it is nearly bug-free
and rock-stable.

the guy from the forum (/forums.burst-team.us) helped me a lot and now I solved the problem!!

thank you

Hi,

I would like to ask how precise is the mining calculator here: http://burstcoin.biz/calculator

I want to invest a bit but I don't know whether to trust the numbers I got from there or not.

Thank you!

Adding to this I would ask why the OP is not online for more than a year? Is this coin still available and does it worth investing/mining.
@ccminer.net, It is quite good, but expect the numbers to go down as the block rewards goes down. The network can also change, which affects the difficulty (base target). You also need to remember, as with all crypto mining a lot of it is random. You can find 0 blocks a month and the next you can find 2 in a row.
Take it with a grain of salt.

@Extrabyte, The @OP made a satoshi nakamoto and isn't online anymore. We suspect he is watching us, as he is updating his pool. We are not entirely sure, but we appreciate the fact he made his coin for us.
The coin has now been taken over by the community and we are developing on the piece of software @Burstcoin made. You are welcome to join the forum and take a talk with the rest of the community. https://forums.burst-team.us

Thank you for the reply. . I'll do some calculations and I'll decide how many tb to plot

I have 2x 2TB external hard drives with USB 3.0 and wanted to know if it affects the total reward or not, I have also an SSD with 120GB maybe it worth more as its speed is much higher than those 2TB. From the site it shows me the profit Burst Per Day 394 Burst which is $0.39?

Yes, around that. Buy some asset in Asset Exchange and watch your Burst growing. The price of Burst is growing quite good from the chart of https://poloniex.com/exchange#btc_burst so don't use today price, see the possibility of the price in the future.

I do not think SSD is will make more from ordinary HDD. Your storage is what matter much, so USB 3.0 is enough.

A new OP is here : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1323657.2440
This is the base camp of the miner : https://forums.burst-team.us/

Thanks for explaining this to me, I though that SSD is better than traditional HDD for HDD mining but seems that the most important thing is the storage whatever the transfer (write/read) speed is. The new OP seems to be more active than this OP lol. I will keep researching about Burst thanks.

Pretty interesting and seems a similar history with bitcoin lol, 25k of replies here means a lot and means how large is the community, I'm just checking the current price and seems a bit low as 199 satoshis, anyway will keep watching this and on the burst forum.
