OK my friend.
Crypto world is exactly like stock market or commodity market. Intrinsic value, volatility, liquidity and scams along with greed lots of it.
However, when come to speculate:
Long term investors is looking for projects & plans : current vs future. Dream to reality as well as existing enthusiasm.
Midterm speculators, also look at possible above, but with shorter time frame grab the profit then run. If the invested equity keep on increase value, they will jump back in. Buy at high.
Short term comes with variety: Swingers, scalpers and big time gamblers. They all have one thing in common. Take little profits and run with euphorical high, the back in for another high. Like drug addicts.
In markets, you need all of 3. Last group create liquidity. Meaning when there are liquidity, your investment is easier to get out at price on your favour instead of wait forever to find a buyer or seller. Technology seems do the devil job these day. Many using bot. Some made a healthy living and some lose their shirt, of course, over a period of time. Regardless it seems stress less, the bot will eventually back to huant the user. I've seen many young geekie traders in Nasdaq market lost their pants.
Crypto currencies is new, not too many out there accept the concept, yet. The technology will never go away. Even lots of junk coins born every single week in average, only few really worth invest. Some has a great concept and something creative new, but the developer was short sighted for fast track success corrupted buy greed eventually destroy what he created, shoot himself in the foot. As old saying, hard to build a foundation, and it harder to maintain a foundation, most businesses failed are lack of the later. Will Coin2 success? I think will if Joel and the committee remain hardwork. 1-2 yr isn't a short time frame but not long either. You just never know when you look back a yr from now, glad that you still keep some.
BTC will always a standard of all Cryptos even there are some coins worth more in future.
Beside, who wants the headache to trade in and out on fiat where regulations and taxes dictate your decision with something still in the ground floor infant MKT?
I really appreciate for you type so many word. I took some time to read your post and I agree with you. You are correct. It is hardwork for Joel and the committee. Let's see what will happen.
