I have some thoughts regarding CCX... (I don't know how to realize/implement what I am going to say. Just ideas...)
First of all, I believe that, in addition to other crucial factors, one key to the success of a cryptocurrency is the number of adopters/users, and another closely related key is whether the distribution is even/uniform, or at least not too "screwed."
As the PoW stage of CCX has ended, it's not easy to rapidly enlarge the adopter base. Faucets may help, but I think the payout, even raised to, say, 200 CCX, is insufficient to attract many new users.
I have an idea on this.
I guess now everyone on BitcoinTalk knows the event of the ShareCoin/Exchange scam, crushing many coins, some of which may be scams, too. My idea is to make those victims CCX adopters/users.
How? I have come up with two ways. We can do either of them or both of them. Or even better, there are more viable ways figured out along the discussion.
First of all, we choose a coin as the target. One coin at a time. For example, sharecoin or yellowcoin. Then, we prepare the CCX fund, perhaps from the promotion budget or a fund raiser. After the CCX fund is prepared, we can do:
1. Fixed rate exchange/swap. We decide the (maximum) ratio of the target coin for swap. According to the size of the coin, a fixed exchange/swap rate can be calculated. After setting up a swap site, we can announce it in the BitcoinTalk thread of that coin. (Perhaps a pre-announcement can be made to check if anyone is interested.)
2. Auction. An auction site can be set up, and the items for auction are 100 CCX, 200 CCX, 500 CCX, 1000 CCX, 10000 CCX, etc. We let the holders of that coin determine how much they are willing to pay for CCX.
For each target coin, we set a period, such as 10 days or 2 weeks, for swap or auction. After the pre-set period, there's no further swap or auction for that coin. Such a design will push those victims to become CCX holders. We can ask that each receiver must use a CCX wallet address never observed in the blockchain. So the number of unique wallet addresses become greater. After the period, the remaining CCX can be returned to the promotion budget or given back to the donators according to the donation ratio.
Then, next (scam) coin is chosen, and the process is repeated.
If it works, we can even setup something like the voting list of cryptsy, mintpal, and other exchanges, and let scam coin victims to express their eager to give up their scam coins for CCX.
If the number of CCX users grows, multipools for CCX is the next step. At that time, I guess it's relatively easier to ask existing multipools to consider CCX because of the scale of CCX users.
After the size of CCX users is sufficiently large and stable, we don't need to absorb scam coin users anymore. (It's actually like a charity activity.)
[This part is optional. I haven't thought through the effect of it.] Then, I think we can setup an exchange for CCX, like "DOGE market" on AllCrypt. We do "CCX market" and actively list new coins and new coins only. In order to avoid people thinking the exchange another ShareXCoin, we do only CCX vs. new coins. No BTC, LTC, FTC, or other well established, high priced coins. So people should be willing to buy CCX with their new coins. Of course, they may want to sell CCX for DOGE or LTC on AllCrypt or other exchanges. But at that time, it's difficult to say whether they will want to hold CCX or sell CCX because CCX will be an established coin and they get 20%/10% from PoS for the first two years.
Just my 2 CCX. Any question and/or discussion is welcomed. I hope I know how to setup a swap site, a multipool, or an exchange such that I can do some of my own ideas.
