There are additional risks from issues like this, where the payout is sometimes sent to the wrong address.

Too low trading volumes, you need a lot moreI'd have thought the opposite. The higher the throughput of a HYIP, the more "interest" you need to find from somewhere, and so the less able you are to meet your obligations in a timely manner.
It's all very well to say that any shortfall will be made up from staking, but that fails to take into account just how long it takes to earn a 25% return on the total throughput when only part of a single deposit (and possibly the operator's 2% fee on all throughput) is staking at any given time.

So is it really worth even trying to stake CLAMS or do a lot of heavy holders stake the majority making it virtually impossible for smaller stakers to receive any rewards?
Total net stake is about 1m. Blocks per day is 1440. Each block reward is 1 CLAM. So with 694 CLAMs you will stake one CLAM per day on average (of course this is just an average; each day you may get multiples or zero). With half that, you'll average every other day, etc.

That ClamBaker thing is easy to understand.
It's a ponzi (everyone knows what it is around here I guess) that promise to pay back the money (with profits) with the stakes if there is no new investors money that is flowing in.
It's a like a weird online staking wallet with a ponzi over it.

Of course, you don't really need any third party service in order to claim your stake in the POS system. As far as I can tell, by the time you set up the official clam client, maybe it's worth it just to stake for yourself.
