Microsoft sells "front end driven" products. You don't care how Excell works, you just care about the front end expercience this "how" creates for you.

Anonymous cryptos are "back end driven" products. whats under the hood IS the product. Monero being succesfull without a gui wallet shows that.

Privacy focused blockchain technology is a whole different business branch than consumer IT or games. And the Benchmark should be lifes mattering on the obfuscation to work.

I just think Cloak will be worth way more much faster if its open sourced. not tomorrow but sooner than later. Ok made my point. don't care to much, love cloak, cashmen and the team are still heroes. all good.

What software company is mostly distributed and mostly successful ? ..... Microsoft? i think they still not open source it....

So open source don't means is holy grail its a one way to go but i respect a also the decision of cloak dev to hold the project close source....

Ok and if you are right, it is still very early for such talks here, i mean wallet is released as promised and everything is ok now. And another thing, this code belongs to Cloak developers, they have all rights to sell their products if they want. This was not ICO or premine coin as ETH.
If Cloak Team decide to reveal code, i will support their decision, so far their decisions were very wise!

XC is different story from my standpoint they are scammers. They have collected very good amount of BTCs
through their "fake coins", and BLOCK scam. Cool

Solid tech, just tested a PoSA3 transaction. Great work, devs. It'll take time for people to adopt the tech. Is there a way we can get a revamped wallet look in the future?

I disagree, only very few users dig into the git. I think devs are on the right path. Users are not even close to a level that is warranted to feel comfortable as being a way mover.

Releasing the source now would be like selling for to microsoft for $50,000. Maybe in 6 months or 18, once the endgame is in site and the network effect in entrenched.

As to your point on trusting it with your life, perhaps let folks get the system for that 6 to 18 months, before adopting. Maybe buy a little just for good measure.

by pretty quickly i meant moth also. Wink

but rather 3 than 6. its not so much that everybody is actually checking the git but rather that its theoreticaly possible to do so.
