I have added Casinocoin to my Game site http://CryptoWheel.net

P.S. This particular game was sponsored by Cart from http://xpool.net  -  Now offering a Casinocoin pool

Give this casino a try. It's legit. I told them we were looking for places to gamble so I let them borrow my personal Casinocoin to get started Smiley

One thing I would like to do prior to releasing the updated CasinoCoin wallet is to properly coordinate with the websites and apps that currently use CasinoCoin (ie. pools, exchanges, games, etc). I want to avoid the mistake of other alt-coins that didn't properly coordinate a hard-fork release, causing 2 separate blockchains and resulting in orphans and other issues.

I need to properly identify the sites that currently run the CasinoCoin wallet so I can contact them in advance about the upcoming hard fork. I could use your help to double check my list to see if I'm missing any.

Pools:
- all of the pools listed on the first post of this thread

Block chain sites:

Exchanges:
- Cryptsy
- Coins-E

Stats:

Games:

Let me know if I've missed anything.

I just got us added to this pool

http://p2pool.neocities.org/coin_csc.html

These guys are trying to make pool mining fairer so a suggested that a coin like our might do well on there - they added it immediately!  So you might want to contact them too - i'll let them know.

I am not affiliated with them, just found them by chance and have had a really positive and profitable experience using them.

Edit:  I forgot - this pool is so easy - no joining up or user name, just use your wallet address and you're off!

Also some other minor updates to point out:

- the Chinese CasinoCoin page was updated to include the network details and CSC exchange values (http://casinoco.in/cn)
- resolved a compile error on Linux with the current GitHub CasinoCoin source (https://github.com/transcoder/CasinoCoin/issues/1)
- contacted a number of exchanges asking to list CSC
  - c-cex.com is currently compiling the CSC source code and will be adding it shortly - official announcement will go out shortly once listed (https://c-cex.com/)

They announced it was added on their twitter about 3 hours ago it's up. https://c-cex.com/index.html?p=csc-btc

You can get to the Casinocoin games by clicking here: http://cryptowheel.net

Then scroll down through the list (make sure you check out the other currencies games as well) and click the CSC button!

I can't wait to see you there!

Keep updated with the site cause we will be doing promotions and giveaways often! Also will be adding more games!

Thanks guys

Sounds like you have got your hands full transcoder, hang in there! Smiley

I can volunteer for the source-code testing, just have to read a bit on how to compile in windows(or alternatively switch back to linux).

All in all I must say that we are starting to see some awesome progress!

In case anyone needs additional nodes to help sync up your CasinoCoin wallet, add the following to the end of your casinocoin.conf file:

Dropping in for an update -- progress has been made with the CasinoCoin wallet update. I have the code that incorporates all the goodness found in Litecoin 0.8.6.2 in place and checkpoints updated for blockchain security purposes. Next up is the update to the difficulty adjust algorithm. After taking in all of your suggestions and reading up in detail about various approaches, I've finally decided on a way forward and will begin coding it later this evening. I'll post further details in my next post Smiley

As for the way forward, as soon as the algorithm is coded, I will set up a testnet server to test the code updates. I would like to be cautious and take my time with testing to work out any potential bugs with the update and new algorithm. I'd appreciate any volunteers that can help out with compiling the updated source and testing it out themselves once the update is ready for testing.

I strongly believe that proper coordination needs to be done with the exchanges, pools, games and stats pages that currently run the CasinoCoin wallet -- this is to avoid forking of the blockchain as I've seen happen with other alt-coins during a release that requires a hard fork. More details below.

All of the action on Cryptsy in the last few days reminds me of a good ol' Mid Western shootout. Don't get burned! Hold!
Yea, the price is still ridiculously low. If this coin lands on a market cap around 1,000,000, which really isn't that much for a good coin like this, we should still see rise of about 400%. I'm definitely holding.

400%?  4000% is more likely. Those big dumpers are very silly. Quick money Huh

hii guys. i wanna say thank you all for doing so much work. Cheesy i really believe in this coin and im exclusively mining it..  Cheesy

i have a question though, i am pretty noobish, and i saw some talk about changing wallet or something? should i be concerned?
There is no need to worry. The thing that will change is how coins are created after the update, all coins already in circulation will be perfectly safe. But I would say that being concerned is always good! Smiley
If an update takes place, you will however have to reinstall the client. Your coins are not stored in the client per se, but in a file called wallet.dat. That file is located on your computer, so and you can make a back-up of it by just copying it. Guide:

Maybe a fork to make mining simpler isn't that necessary after all? I mean a 500,000csc has been mined over the past 2 weeks according to coinmarketcap.com.

Inflation could be a big enemy to this coin.
