We reached 0.015000 today, which means that Dash continues its longterm upward trend.
(we needed to get above 0.0146999 for that to happen)

I lost all my darkcoins about a year or so ago when my ssd  crashed. I just found the backup I had made. Can I restore the backup I made with the darkcoin wallet to the dash wallet.

Congrats! Nothing like finding some money that you thought you'd lost  Grin Yes, you can certainly restore it, look for your wallet.dat file in the backup. If you have that then you're at the races, really easy to restore.

Only thing is you'll need to remember your password if you encryped it.

excalibur posted this in Slack a few hours ago, I just saw it:

Well, there goes my on/off ramp!

this whole shit with ETH is really starting to piss me off.  Until this is all settled...I've decided and just finished pulling down all my funds on the exchanges back home.  Scary on the coinbase thing....what a nightmare!

It is messed up for sure, here is my take with some lolz  Grin

Yes, it's a complete shitshow. Expect further shocks to the ecosystem. I don't trade personally so keep all my coins in cold storage; but to anyone who does keep coins on exchanges - I recommend you keep them off unless completely necessary & if they're on an exchange accept the risk that you might lose them. The sooner we have a proper multi-currency decentralized exchange the better.

Masternode Owners, please, can you look at these two proposals one more time?  IMO, they are excellent proposals.  I respect your decision, but if you haven't looked or fully read the proposals, it would be sad to let these opportunities pass us by.

Anonymous usages for Dash Masternode network

Please check them out and vote what you think is best.  Thanks!

i'm voting yes on the Jackalope Freedom Festival and no on the Anonymous usages for Dash Masternode network, for now. i think it's a great idea but maybe a bit too soon. i think qe should hold off till next year when we have more funds (higher cap). we need all hands on deck working on evolution right now anyway.

I respect that, but QuantumExplorer said he would prioritize his work to Evolution first, then on his free time (slow times, like he has now) he'll work on this project.  This allows him to work more for Dash (good idea for keeping talent interested and busy) as well as further explore the implications - security wise - of expanding the Masternode's usefulness.  This information will help with other decisions, such as how the MN might be used to create a market place (through the DAPI) and many other useful applications.  Although he doesn't plan on using the DAPI, I'm hoping that he'll find a way to use it, even so it's not his original plan ;P

Jeez, did you guys stop doing this for the passion and now are just inventing jobs for yourselves.  Undecided
4400$ to write a wiki Huh

Why not have a competition in the community he who writes the best wiki wins 100 dash or something like that  Smiley

There could be a proposal for a bounty fund that can fund these kinds of competitions. lets say 100 dash per month goes to the fund and everytime we need some technical writing or anything that our community members can (and have the passion)to do we could make a competition for the set bounty.

Edit: Did make a PreProposal over at dash.org
https://www.dash.org/forum/threads/bounty-fund.9943/

You can certainly pay writers dirt and get dust in return, but if you want a comprehensive, well-written and clear document that serves you for a number of years you would be aiming to pay roughly that rate. This is a blindspot of technical people. They assume anyone can right and in a manner they can. But in much the same same anyone can code...badly. Finding a good coder costs money.

I think we might need A. Antonopoulos for this one.

That would be awesome to be able to hire AA.   Smiley

When we are saying technical writer, what do we mean? Will that writer delve into source code details? If yes, that requires reading the code and understanding it, which takes the difficulty up enormously compared to just writing a wiki with "technical info" (not source-code related).

Very hard to find bought. Not uncommon these days to hire someone who can distill the source code and then the writer "proper" to neatly blend it into a narrative. Much of this comes down to how good you want the quality of the writing to be long-term.

EDIT: Just to note I have worked in the latter role many times so I am not just needlessly rambling.
