Dash's Evolution: 'The One True Bitcoin as Satoshi Envisioned It’?

 Grin Shocked Grin

I'm not sure if /r/btc is happy now, being sponsor of this episode, lol.

Your probably right, but crypto currency competition is one of the main factors that can help bitcoin push forward with innovation and capacity, which is probably in line with /r/btc priorities.

Interesting article about the workings of how Chinese money is driving up insane property prices in Vancouver, Canada.

http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2016-03-10/how-vancouver-being-sold-chinese-illegal-dark-side-behind-real-estate-bubble

The Chinese have hundreds of billions of dollars looking for safe-haven outside China.

What happens when they discover Dash Masternodes?

I bet they've already discovered Bitcoin - nothing happened.

I got a message back from coinpayments.net:

Hi Tantestefana,

We do support InstantX which adds 5 confirms to a transaction's confirm count, so since we require 6 confirms the transaction clears on the 1st "real"

I do not think there are bots trading Dash.

What do you think exchange APIs are for? Ah, those Bittrex servers can take a hammering... Cheesy

Anyone knows, how those bots on exchange are behaving ?
I have to say it... Don`t want to blame DASH, but have no other explanation to this. A several days ago, I bought DASH for 27 BTC, and letting it in a wallet, for longer term purpose... Last few days, when I saw DASH price, trying to climb up, and immediately taken down by a low volume. Price was moving around 100 - 109... Ok, I decided to sell all DASH, because of not good feeling, that it will go down more and more, instead of fact, that MACD 1h and 4h were performing somehow...let`s say stable. So today I sold all of them, and immediately price went to 115, and few hours later, we are on price, where I originally bought them. My point is, that market is either very deep manipulated, not even bots, but also big holders. I know, I`m new in crypto, but have somebody explanation for that ? For me, it seems, that bots were given its "fuel" (I bought DASH during correction) and now, when bots get DASH amount I previously bought, they manipulate price up to that level,  where I originally bought...Loss is my mistake, I will not cry about those 5BTC, which I lost this morning, but I do not like this way, manipulating behavior. Even now, buying or selling such amount of DASH, will make price difference about +- 0.001...

I've been having fun watching the price all week, trying to understand things, and frankly, I think it has to do with when people have funds available (or are awake).  Last week, same time - thursday, we had a price rise, and I expected one today.  I was delighted to see it happen (because it made me feel like I found a reason for something happening) But in truth, I don't think any of it's real.  Next week it'll be a new thing.  I know there are patterns etc.. that come up with stocks but personally, I think the crypto market is just too small.  Maybe not BTC but Dash has so little volume, when someone wants to buy any amount, the price skyrockets, then the bots bring it down (just where it shows on the charts, meaningless really) and then people freak out and sell into the buys.  So it depends on how you look at it.  It's being manipulated only by those willing to be manipulated, and otherwise (the stronger non-bot tiny buys and sells) are what you need to distinguish against, IMO.  Anyway, aside from itchy fingered people, and the bots selling/buying to make it look one way or another, there isn't any "whale" action going on (aside from buy/sell walls which encourage people who really want to buy/sell now, to go toward the center of asks and buys)  It looks pretty normal to me.

Frankly, I'm realizing that if I want to buy or sell, I should give myself plenty of time, choose the best likely price point I can get, and wait for it.  There is a ton of swing every few hours. You have to have time, and check your emotions at the door.  This is all easy to say, I haven't done it yet, LOL.  It's been my 1 week long learning experience, which is so limited, it's actually funny that to think I could have learned something, I'm sure there is more to it.

Anyway, my actual solution is to never sell unless I have to Tongue

Oh, and if you have a lot of Dash to buy or sell, there isn't enough liquidity to do that in one go.  You have to do it slowly.  Just about any amount over 100 Dash moves the market a lot.

I do not think there are bots trading Dash. I know I personally have been buying a lot of Dash this past week, and likely others have been doing the same. There is no historic trade data available to build a good bot trader

To be honest, this is not the first time... It happened to me on Cryptsy, and that was definitely ruled by bots ! those 0.00xxx buys and sells, fake sell/buy walls. It happened to me also before, that price went from very low point, to point where I previously bought, just right after I sell coins...
Yes, there are bots. And count also margin trading @ polo ( still big DASH exchenge ). And count also many MN owners that might decide to buy some more for next MN just because they can. And count over 3 mil DASH at MNs. So there are huge masses that can move, if disturbed. So price does not move by rules. Just sometimes. Best is to watch and when price is moving down - start to buy and be ready to hold for long.

I really think Bitcoin arrived just in time to catch the fall of the world's financial meltdown.

Now you know why Evan & the team downed-tools on Evolution for a while to give some attention to the current implementation.

It's coz he thought "oh f*ck", this ship's sailing, like it or not, when world credit bubble bursts and we might not be Evo-ready. Better get everything on deck bolted down ready for prime time just in case  Grin

Sensible call.

(Well, Evan doesn't swear of course, forgive the theatrical indulgeance  Wink )

You always make me want to do an upvote, but there arn't any here, LOL.

There is not enough liquidity now to trade such amounts short term. Manipulators can clearly see big buys/sells made by other traders and make the price go which way is best to scare them and make losses.
