Any thoughts on whether the upcoming OP_CHECKLOCKTIMEVERIFY in BTC 0.11.2 will do wonderful things for DASH? There's lots of discussion on BCT, with some saying it is no big deal and others saying it will enable in-wallet p2p transfers among compatible coins without using the exchanges (a very big deal).

Dash is a bitcoin clone.  Etherium is trying to be an OS for blockchain applications. Its job is to CARRY currencies, not be one. So pick yourself one application of that list and that's your comparison with Dash.

Apart from that, if anything the success of Etherium will probably help Dash - not hinder it because many of the Daaps are going to act as facilitators for the Bitcoin commercial realm in all sorts of ways and will therefore be accessible to Dash as well.

(But I suspect you know that otherwise you wouldn't bother to continue trolling this thread so heavily with your roguery and distortions).

I think investors are very wary of the volatility of cryptos, and the bubbles.  We just had another run up with Bitcoin, and I'm relieved to see it has settled about 100 dollars above where the run up started.  This means to me that there was some real support from that run up and it wasn't just manipulation.  I was worried there for a while. 

But yah, we're going to have to earn every investment by making Dash useful and then getting the word out.  Dash works great, but not many offer stuff for sale in Dash.  But there are a ton of excellent ideas being pushed around.  Most of them require work and kind of need to wait until the DAPI is complete.  But then, there will be tons of work to do!

They are light years ahead of Evolusham, which hasn't even reached the whitepaper/peer review stage of vaporware condensation.

Unlike Dark-coin, ETH has critical mass and a bus factor >> 1.  If Vitalik quit/died ETH would be fine.  If Duffield quit/died, his hobby project would suddenly be abaondonware.

If you have to make up lies about ETH to make DASH look good and an outsider has to intervene to set the record straight, there's a problem with your shit-project's community and management.

All the DashHole cargo cult recently accomplished is throwing money at an expensive domain name, which is purely marketing done at the cost of actual computer science research.

In contrast, ETH with backing from IBM and Microsoft is poised to take over and rebuild the internet as a decentralized supercomputer.

Maybe all the thousands of dollars spent on a marquee domain would have been better used to pay Peter Todd to add CLTV, CSV, and RBF to DASH's aging, increasingly obsolete architecture.

DASH's core devs could easily meet in a phone booth; this is what a real FOSS community looks like.



ETH has among others Auger, Slock.it, Consensys, and Imogen Heap's Mycelia on board.  What does Evolusham have, besides a domain name already copyrighted/trademarked by soap companies and Kardashians?

quite expensive, but any serious marketing will need this. we are making internet money so an adequate internet address is a vital asset imho. great move... brilliant

the SEO issue alone kept it out of the light for a long time, I think that affected the price adversely, everyone knew darkcoin, not Dash.

Worth more than its weight in gold considering Dash's SEO challenges... Brilliant move, which will keep paying dividends.

I know, many investors wouldn't be happy about 20.000 USD expenses for domain name (I am also not quite happy, but OK).

But... For projects like DASH trust and promotion are very important part of everything! And DASH.ORG name is very significant part of promotion.
Obviously this name will help us to accumulate power, trust and users more effectively than with old domain.

In other words, since this moment DASH.ORG is saving money for all of us - every single day, the best possible way.
We are not hype, we are long-term project so it will give all us more profit than current expenses in nearest years.

DASH.ORG is an important asset and investment.

Apparently they sell the news, no matter what the news is...Look how lame ethereum has performed with DEVCON. NOTHING!

As is often the case in crypto, great news brings price declines... how long can the markets remain irrational for again?
