... Charles Lee ... AKA ... hella shady ...

I'm glad you posted that...I've often reflected on Ford's famous quote, especially with respect to Bitcoin. The Bitcoin developers and community have much the same idea: "We've created the perfect software and it never needs to be improved." Of course, Charlie Lee has the same idea. Damn fools.

Fords target was making cars accessible to regular people which meant keeping the cost as low as possible, hence the limited options as part of his highly innovative and efficient production methods. That makes Ford more akin to Dash and the current state of Bitcoin more similar to the corporate mentality of later eras, ie. eliminate innovative competition rather than compete with innovation.

Another Ford quote Smiley

Charlie Lee does not give a rat's ass about LTC. He's already stated he's sold most his coins as he'd thought the project was never going to last long.
He is also a top payed consultant for various Bitcoin companies.

Whatever Charlie Lee has to say about anything is pure conflict of interest.
But of course, uninformed trolls will eat anything off the ground and praise it as a banquet of the finest chow.

 (lool . quadruple puns intended)

We've been holding our own in much the same place on coinmarketcap.com for over 1 1/2 years.  Our price fluctuates about the same as any coin on the top of that list.  The original pump of our coin happened because someone erroneously got a bunch of (was it BCT?) coins in his account at an exchange (CEX?) and turned it into DarkCoin to withdraw it. He bought those DC at any price, which drove the price way up all of a sudden, then dumped them on another exchange(Polo?).  That had nothing to do with the number of coins out in the wild.  And by the time the second pump happened, it was more natural, and I even bought more thinking it was righteously going up in price.

So just because you buy into a volatile market and lose money, doesn't mean the product you bought into is a scam.  And there has been no-one hurt by the excessive flow of coins at the launch of this coin.  It was a known problem by the time coins were being sold and certainly by the time they showed up in an exchange.

My favorite complaint is that Evan didn't announce all the things he was going to do with Dash at launch, ROFLMAO.  All Evan knew in the beginning is that he wanted to make it privacy-centric, with coinjoin.  He did say so, on one of these threads (not this one) at least a couple of days before launch because my husband found it.  I think he found it 3 days before launch.

It's all BS.
And why am I responding?  Ugh!

How did he get scammed? I just see someone who didn't follow the launch complaining after the fact.

And if you buy at higher price and sell at lower, it's a scam too. They say  Cheesy

In that case, I've been scammed by several public corporations.

Lol @ "didn't follow the launch"

I thought the official story was that "no one realized" it was happening until a few days later. That's why it took eduffield so long to fix it. Now you say it's his fault for not following the launch.. meanwhile the instamine information is nowhere to be found in the side bar.. only "0.0000000% premined"

What a pathetic bunch of scammers and scam defenders you are  Cheesy

After quite a few days of having a negative withdrawal allowance on Cryptsy I see that it has reverted to $2,000 again, so I've just initiated a 6 BTC & 200 Dash W/D, I'll post again if/when they go through, but touch wood it looks like they may be sorting their mess out, though they continue to ignore my support tickets and I'm perma-banned from their chat.

Oh gosh, how insane they've been!  I sure hope this will finally get resolved. So sorry this happened to you Sad

Trolls... just ban ("Ignore" button) them.

I never heard that one before, I think I'm going to put that in my signature! Cheesy

Hi Guys,  I have purchased the required 1000 dash for a masternode.  I'm looking over the tutorial (Taos mastenode guide for dummies), but the images in the tutorial are showing the old wallet.  Is this tutorial still valid?

Thks,
HCP

To issue RPC commands you now need to use dash-cli instead of dashd. The other procedures seem fine to me.

Yes, that tutorial is still valid as it looks like he made it compatable with v12 (you can tell with the reference in that tutorial to certain dash-cli commands which got introduced with v12)
You can also check my signature if you have questions or if you need simple update instructions for your masternode in the future.

Congratz with your first masternode

Once you have it up and running edit and use the following link to monitor your masternode :

anyone ever scammed by Dash, please put your hand up!

(I've been two years and not one single hand in sight)

Please explain the scam, in an open market, that is doing nothing but growing and evolving - and every single aspect, positive and negative, has been thoroughly explained, time and time again.

 Instamine that, please

Lol, another dedicated Dash Defence account.

Dashtards and their tactics. Keep telling yourself anyone but 2 or 3 whales with too much to lose plus a few bagholders give a shit about this fraud coin Smiley

Says the newbie XMR Troll / Dash Attack account.

I don't need to tell myself anything, I just look at the map of 3,300+ Masternodes with good geogrpahical distribution. If you think 2 or 3 whales would go to that much trouble you're off your tits.

Haha, you've only posted in this topic. You're a dedicated Dash Defence account. DASH is so much of a scam it needs people like you to defend it constantly.

LOL at your masternode map. There are almost 6 million coins. Why are you surprised at the Masternode count? It's a POS coin.. of course they're going to go into masternodes. You think it's 'trouble' to spend less than 10 minutes setting up a hosting account? Lol
