This looks to me like the start of the decentralised quality minimums technology starting to appear.
This is *proper* decentralisation folks - functional diversification. Not B.S. reproducing the same mono-dimensional robot operation a million times (thats called redundancy). The first ever cryptocurrency network that is going to check itself for quality and performance standards on an ongoing basis.
This is what flight computers do. In an airliner there's 5 of them that constantly monitor each other and shut down the odd one out if its misbehaving. I know cryptos do that with the blockchain length but - duh, there's more to a cryptocurrency network than measuring the longest chain.
In the future I imagine this network will be able to self regulate its standards for everything - CPU speed, memory, bandwidth, you name it. Another reason why this project is taking leads (possible because the dev "sticks to his vision", and prefers lines of code to lines of bitcointalk posts )
Enjoy !
