You're supposed to see that it was the best thing for me to sell them off for fiat as it was 1/3 my budget which is DUMB and RISKY, like you said. I was not ready to lose that investment so I sold. I'm not here for your sympathy, but please don't say I am a daytrader or have trader's mentality, because I don't. Nor do I ask for your sympathy, I merely stated facts as to why I sold.
Now I can afford to lose some money so yeah. And what long-term potential do you see? Is it the MN? The anonymity? BTC already has a solid mixer that gives you clean coins, so I guess you're talking about the master nodes? Block rewards? Difficulty adjustment? What else is better than Bitcoin?
Hey there, I am glad you are able to invest again, my honest advice is find a good entry point and buy as much as you can, then hold for at least a year. Darkcoin is not here to compete with Bitcoin but to complement it. Bitcoin has the core mission of making crypto legal to use everywhere in the world, that means they must keep a very stable codebase without many changes. BTC needs an alternative currency that is able to take more risks and build features that are valuable to end users.
Darkcoin is maybe the only coin that has a development team that is at the level of the BTC core devs under the bitcoin codebase and can keep up with BTC and even innovate in other areas and give back to BTC, this was the role a coin like LTC should have played, but they just basically don't have the coding talent Evan has.
DRK made significant improvements in how to handle hard forks and has been adding value by hitting all the pain points for crypto users. More privacy, faster confirmations, incentive for full node operation, soon 2FA security and believe me, other innovations are already on the plans.
I see a future where DRK provides services to BTC, people can exchange for DRK take advantage of its services and switch back if they want to. There will be a synergistic relationship between BTC and DRK. DRK does not need to be BTC competitor if it can be its partner. You have to decide for yourself but I think you would be sorry in 6 months if you don't take the opportunity now.
