I can also see Masternodes earning a percentage of whatever is being exchanged, very small, but still.  AND, I see developers that will "hook into" the Darkcoin wallet network with services that masternodes can host at their discretion, also being paid a percentage of what that service earns, as well as the developer earning a percentage.

This way, developers can use the network, at a cost, by voluntary masternode owners and earn income as well for their work.  Of course, their income would be dependent on the usefulness of their service and getting masternodes to host it, but if hosted, the network would have access (read advertisement) to the service and everyone can see the service that uses DarkCoin and use it if they want to.

Yes yes yes !! Wink

Invest in DW ?? Its an open-source hackathon winner that Amir Taaki  developed in a few hours. Then he handed the idea over for other to complete. He knows its got no legs to run though the idea rocks. Its in Alpha5, with extremely insecure vectors due to it being a browser extension... thing could be worse than that !! But is was a hackathon, and he won! The idea spread like wildfire. He quickly left for other projects.

DW is a cool little rogue project that will never see the light of day (ergo real use). Especially when you have OpenBazaar, apparently beta is launcbing end of August and expected release end of 2014. Now that's where its at.

Now THAT will go hand in hand with DRK...

That's what I want our masternodes to host!

It sounds great! Will masternodes have the option of choosing which services they host?

Not the masternodes itself, but linux can run multiple software... now if Evan would get that code (which will be open source), slap DRK on it. Boom, bye bye Darkwallet for good.

But there are priorities elswhere. I agree with Tante. The bad previous forks were and extreme case of blessing in disguise

I believe we can have an advantage of DarkWallet:
1. we can offer them a proxy to anonymous transfers via DS+
2. BTC > DRK > MNs > DRK > BTC
3. even so DarkWallet can arrange service like "send your BTC to DRK addres Smiley"
4. volume trading would increase in these cases as well it will balance price with BTC much faster then any other coin.

correct me if it is not a good idea Smiley

Sorry, but mostly I don't understand because I don't completely understand what DarkWallet is going to be able to do.  But yes, if anyone wants their coins anonymized with the best service, that's what they'll have to do. Smiley

Oh, and ignition, it's coming up on 8 months now, LOL - 8 months yesterday!

Dark is rising again, and is now above 0.045 ($2.07), and that is with the 3rd highest volume after BTC and LTC.

DRK still has plenty of life left in it.

And the dumpers seem to have plenty of ammo left... I was watching the blockchain earlier, thousands of DRKs were being moved into Mintpal and Cryptsy.. I won't be surprised if we see a big dumping spike at some point as it hasn't appeared in a while. The dumping pattern is similar to pre-RC4, RC4 on etc... frequent spikes at certain intervals which sometimes stop and then resume. It's like they let the orderbook fill itself with buys so that they can then sweep it. But indeed, the volume is quite good.

What addresses?

The way I see it, no or maybe some.  Mostly, I'd like to see it as a complete system, at least some of it.  Obviously, a Masternode that is running on a sufficiently powerful VC can run whatever they like on the side, but for some of this stuff has got to be a requirement, a part of the node system.

That's fine. I'm hedged. I've raised the points I'm worried about and most of my posts are actually replies to other posts. If other coins had copied Drk and it didn't work, people would just flock to Drk. So, I can't agree with you. But let's stay friends. Believe it or not, I want to see Drk succeed. I still hold some. Drk could make me very happy and wealthy if it succeeded but based on current info, it's going to be a very close call.

Dark failed, twice!  You're gonna tell me that we would have survived the aftermath if on top of what we did go through, a dozen alt coins rained their wrath down on us as well?  I don't think so.  No, it was the best decision Evan ever made.
Again, I can't agree. In a parallel universe, Drk would have said: I told you so. Come to us because we have all the fixes.

Ok, Stealth

Also, I don't see why we can't host a bazaar for exchanging coins as well, private messaging and possibly private video conferencing.

Wrong - it would cause even less confidence as the exposure would be amplified by all the people who invested time to copy. People would leave copy coins and drk at the same time and the trustlevel with dark would be even lower.

Anyways thats the last I will post on this topic - Tante - lets put one of your items you listed as possible upcoming features as discussion?  Grin
