right guys as rc4 is nearing an end and hopefully all goes well, drk will become the only true anon coin.
I feel we should have a two pronged media campaign

1- we should start preparing adverts, posters, videos etc ,lets  promote what drk does that no other coin can do.
2- we should raise awareness of btc flaws like how easy your btc address can show your balance to the world and soon link it to your ip address. its like have your bank balance on display for everyone to see with your postcode below. But do it nicely ,we dont want make btc look bad,lol

we should only use 100% facts to prevent troll attacks.
If we start now we can have somethings ready for people who hold drk to use to pass on the message...that drk is the ultimate coin. ;-)

Let me pretty up the thread again.  Grin

Maybe I suck, but let's see what you can do before you
 start bitchin' Wink

Darkcoin's high liquidity cousin - Ducknote - performing superbly.

Heh, I just checked Poloniex and noticed they've dumped LTC for a bunch of XMR markets - wonder how much that cost and who paid for it...  Tongue

And BitTrex will remove LTC markets and replace them with BlackCoin:

The NSA is doing a great job marketing darkcoin:

If they can store all phone calls made, keeping a store of all bitcoins and linking them down the line is trivial

Funnily enough they also contribute about 60% of the Tor project's funding.

The more you think about this stuff, the DRKer you want to go.

Hey everyone,

I'm pleased to announce that my project team and I have decided on the final design of the new Darkcoin wallet software and UI. The new Darkcoin wallet will look like this:

Light/White Skin

Dark/Blue Skin

You'll be able to choose your desired skin/theme and modify colors to your liking. We may support custom layouts in the future as well, but for now we must focus on functionality and completing the work in a timely fashion.  Smiley

You can view yesterday's status report on the wallet overhaul at DarkcoinTalk.org...

Regards,

The DRK Lord

3. The requirement that whichever Bitcoin companies are left standing within the services/transactions space MUST collect ALL identifiable information on their users.

Comment: This completely goes against the fundamentals of Bitcoin. By now it’s pretty accepted that in its current form using bitcoins makes you at best pseudo-anonymous as in with enough resources and surveillance tools, it’s possible to link identities to users. But that is a far cry from centralizing all personal information and linking them to Bitcoin addresses internally.

People are still having a hard time understanding that the reason many Bitcoin thefts happen is by criminals pretending they are you with companies that have your personal information on file. See examples here and here. Or the experienced hackers/scammers go after large accounts at companies holding their bitcoins in one place, examples here and here. There is one common element here: “Centralization”.

You know its only a matter of time before you buy Darkcoins. Might as well do it sooner rather than, more expensively, later.

Bitcoin can copy everything Darkcoin does if it's really worth it

ROTFL

Bitcoin hard fork. ROTFL
Even Litecoin is unwilling to hard fork. Bitcoin wouldn't hard fork unless it was to solve security flaws or something along those lines.
ehh maybe they will eventually spork....

I think the problems DRK has had with forks will give pause to anyone else considering it - except Evan (and us Darkheads!) - we now have the experience to deal with such things..! Wink

Love the optimism but I do not see it replacing BTC, largely due to the infrastructure and merchant adoption already in place from the first-mover advantage.

I always find it amusing when I hear this argument used in relation to bitcoin.
Think about the first global search engine or the first social network or even the first global currency... where are they now  Grin

I don't think DRK will outright "replace" BTC, but I think they'll be looking at each other eye-to-eye in the near future...

I think Bitcoin is going to remain a very popular and sort of "mainstream" crypto-currency. Whereas Darkcoin is going to provide a global financial system for anonymous, private transactions -- the world's first global "dark currency market". Bitcoin and Darkcoin will co-exist for quite some time and have a symbiotic relationship. And I think you'll see people in the future swapping large amounts of BTC for DRK and back into BTC after using Darksend to anonymize their Bitcoin activity... essentially making DRK an anonymous on-ramp/off-ramp for Bitcoin. You'll probably also see anonymous banking, anonymous stock/futures/FOREX brokerages, dark exchanges and all sorts of awesome privacy centric financial infrastructure spring up around Darkcoin.

With Darkcoin being a bit more "exotic" than Bitcoin, a lower coin supply (for now) and high demand, I think 1 DRK might trade at 1.5x to 3x the value of 1 BTC but Bitcoin may retain a higher total market cap for some time...

If the code is checked and confirmed to be as anon as Evan says i could not agree more.
