Evan, the main Dev, does not want to be a "dictator" and force (ban) them. That is as simple as flipping the "spork" button on. We're giving them a chance of being part of Darkcoin in spirit, rather that in "shit-coin-get-rich-quick" enforcement.
Oh, that'll never work. They're not going to be team players, they want the extra 20%. We really can't do anything about it until RC4 is out. Flipping the switch will cause issues we'd rather avoid and Evan needs a little more time to implement the new enforcement system. It won't be long, I just hope those that are team players continue to be for the next couple of weeks so that people's anger won't be so bad, but rather appreciative. I appreciate all miners that are supporting the coin, thank you all!
It's much better to support the coin, because it helps support the current value. And I believe the value of Darkcoin will go up exponentially after RC4 is out. The higher our price at that point, the higher it will be boosted (IMO) This is my guessing. I really don't understand these market dynamics, but I'm glad that guy told us about is (unimaginable) dump because the unthinkable reason for the price drop (somebody selling off in huge chunks, dumping their coins for really low returns) was the only logical reason and turned out to be true! Which gives me faith that the world still runs on logic, LOL.
IP address of the pool/solo miner should be viewable from debug information? I think BTC and LTC guys do it for all blocks in the chain.
President Chaeplin, any way to do this?
No.
I heard old bitcoind client had ip information.
