Actually this IS a shit coin! (as of now) If you can't see that you are blinded by your own hubris. DarkCoin is such a joke--so many fanboys that don't even understand the tech and only are attracted by the name. All hype! It was 50% "premined" in the first 48 hours due to a botched "mining difficulty adjustment". Half the current coins were mined in 48 hours. The fork was just a bump in the road. DarkCoin may or may not be anonymous, as you can't see the code since it is closed source. YES...the MAIN FEATURE, DARKSEND, that is responsible for the anonymous nature is CLOSED SOURCE. Might as well be named HoneyPotCoin. It could literally be doing anything...do you trust people or an algorithm? Clearly DarkCoin fanboys trust people over algo. I'm pretty sure no one takes the "instamine" fud as a genuine concern.

My logic on the instamine issue:

Were a bunch of coins mined at first very quickly? Yes. Do we really know for sure they were well distributed? No, although there is some evidence that suggests that.

Here's why it doesn't really matter to me:

Anyone sitting on a big stash who hasn't dumped at this point is likely going to be holding out for a much higher price (or plans on running masternodes for years to come lol). Anyone not holding out would have surely dumped by now.... the longer time goes on, the more this becomes true. I don't know how much lower this will go, but it will bottom out (all dumpers done dumped), and I think it's very unlikely that any early large holders will dump much below the previous ATH, if at all, as long as this coin stays alive and maintains good prospects for the future.

It's a non-issue as far as I can see... though I am new to DRK, cryptos, and financial markets, and my logic is frequently flawed Tongue

Ah yes, things are so obvious AFTER the fact.

Edit: it's also pretty obvious Darksend IS anonymous, because we have this thing called a blockchain where, you know, records are kept, and it shows that it is anonymous. So unless the masternodes are sending records of their mixing to some central location for record-keeping, it's fairly private/anonymous (even if they were, that'd have nothing to do with whether the tech works, it'd just mean Evan is a jerk working for the NSA or something).

Extra edit: obviously, if you are really desiring to send something anonymously, and REALLY need to be sure it is, don't use Darksend until it's open sourced.

Show me another altcoin and devteam with soo much testing and testnet and the tech related community in the background. All other only want to make the quick profit on this they can't deliver.

The strenght of DRK in the past should be enough to have long term confidence.
With the current marketcap Devteam can't play right now with DRK and they try to go the safer way that needs more time but way is clear. They deliverd in the past and they will in future.
