Has there been any progress made on an Nvidia x11 miner?  Someone posted on reddit that they were working on one: http://www.reddit.com/r/DRKCoin/comments/20yzaq/trying_to_develop_cuda_for_drk/ but the last update was 17 days ago and the original poster deleted their reddit account...

Is there an ETA for the hard-fork to implement masternode payments?

I'm going to be releasing a couple more updates for V6 to stabilize masternodes and payments. Then V7 will have masternode signatures for secure communication (ECDSA).

After that maybe a couple fixes, then we'll be out a beta. After that my next project is masternode payments. I'd say 3-4 weeks out maybe? Then we'll start the RCs and after the network grows and we have stability, I'll opensource.

Thank you for the update - so this means a month (or more?) before Darksend is out of beta and fully public?

It wont be released until it ready, I know that vague, but we want to make sure all the bugs are worked out so the final product works exactly the way it should.

Technically DarkSend works now, we just want to make it better, we hope everyone understands and agrees.

Yes, eduffield's professionalism is praiseworthy. I was just seeking a guesstimate - what would be your best guess at this point, 1 month, 2 months, more?

There sure are an increasing number of GWs nowadays. I've been seeing NGW and just now saw VGW. lol Evan started a trend with DGW.

Are they using Evan's code and giving it another name?  Is that kosher?

We can keep track on this here if people post bootleg copies

Just think of it is a nice opportunity to buy relatively cheap DRK. The price will go nuts once Darksend is finished and fully implemented.
The dev is doing a great job showing everyone his work along the way.

Nice!  I'd like to see how it looks with the stylized D made bigger and set behind the text.

Its nice But I think the D needs to be bigger, there is too much empty space.

You're right - It probably doesn't need the text on the front of the coin, at least not on the front - a big D on the front, and then perhaps the Darkcoin text on the back somehow...
yeah, a big D sound good for that, just a symbol.

Original source files (AI format) from the designer available here: link

This is the vector version from the design contest (i.e. not the above 3d rendered image).

According to the designer the font used was "Eurostyle bold extended"

As the designer of #8, I still think #6 is by far the best. #2 just seems a bit too busy and probably won't scale well, but it seems like some people like it more than #6 because of its color scheme. The color scheme can be changed very easily, so I think we should bet too hung up on a design because it's "darkness" or lack therof. I think that's something that can be settled after a design is chosen.

Just an example of what could be done for those who think #6 is too dark (using #2's color scheme):

I also love the blue color scheme, it gives the coin a look that isn't just suited for the dark web but for everyone Smiley

For the geeks who want a technical read related to attacks on coin mixing  (somewhat relevant to DarkSend):

http://christopher-wood.com/docs/WoodVu_BitcoinPrivacy_Survey.pdf

Great read. I think Darkcoin is awesome. The implications of bitcoin's lack of privacy are huge.
