Thanks for all the comments. I'm taking notes.

All the materials are work-in-progress, so I appreciate inputs. Smiley

"DarkSend Transfers are very difficult to trace, if not impossible" can imply that with the proper motivation and means the tranfers can be traced, why not : "DarkSend Transfers are impossible to trace" instead, can we say that now ?

That's hard to say - I would never make that kind of statement and it would likely hurt our credibility. The entire field of cryptography is based around the principle that you can make things hard but never make them impossible. It is widely held principle in the related field of computer security as well - and it makes people who know the field nervous if you make a statement like that - and tends to piss them off.

Even if it were impossible theoretically - in general - there would likely eventually be a side-channel attack that would allow someone - under certain conditions - to trace it - again, hurting the coin due to a naive statement of impossibility.

One small thing. About the 84m coin produced, have to specify that it would be in (don't remember ) but almost in 70 years....

Someone pointed some serious hashing power to lotterymining pool today. 1,185,870Khs
That is pretty insane.

Someone want to stack up with coins before takeoff.

im looking through the stats, something is fishy with that.. notice no blocks found.. we shpuld find loads of blocks...
Your sig still points to http://drk.lotterymining.com/ instead of http://lotterymining.com/.

These type of farms seem to come and go on the network for the past few days. Some have made enough for what they consider a good investment and leave for the daily profitable coins. Also this is a 400-500 MH/s regular scrypt farm, so they will go back to doge now that it is rising again  Cheesy

Rewards @ 20.00

NET HASH @ 10.1 GH/s

DIFF @ 345.

Price Value  Huh Huh Huh

Wouldn't worry too much - people are working on the marketing side, the coin's tech is being perfected and once it goes - it's going to really go and it won't likely be anywhere near what it is now ever again.

Q. Why not make Darksend the default option in the wallet, with a tick box for an option to 'make my transactions public' to not use DarkSend?

I think it's good that darksend is mentioned wherever possible for brand awareness. If we go the other route, we either miss out on the "use darksend" name drop, or label it somewhat inelegantly as "don't use darksend".

I'm going to drop the security exploit bounties and shift them to a hack-a-thon event later when the source is released.

Also will add a bounty for the first altcoin ATM accepting darkcoin, and a bounty for a comprehensive media mailing list. Not sure if I can bounty the PR statements because they'll be ongoing. Someone might just have to be nice and donate their time for those.

Thx for adding the media list bounty  Smiley I see someone put there hand up to do that. Awesome.

I don't mind donating time to write media releases.

Small suggestion -
When I now sent a link to friends so that they download the Darkcoin wallet, I noticed that it lacks any "reassuring" mechanism for newcomers (votes, no. of downloads, what people say, etc.).

I think that we should have a 'counter' near it or under the download darkcoin-qt link/button... as "xxxxx people have downloaded Darkcoin wallet"...
If a newcomer sees that that many people have downloaded it before, then it has to be OK...

THANKS!
I have my fair share of DRK and I enjoyed contributing what I can.
I'd like to give the bounty to lumeire who produced a nice infographics imho (he says he has only a few drk...).

Alternatively, if there is a bounty for lumeire's infographics, then I donate it back to the fundraising.
I love the enthusiasm that is starting to build around this coin.
Go Darkcoin!

There's already a bounty for the infographic. You can donate to the bounty fundraiser pool if you like: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.5637726
I decided to do something extra instead of sitting back.
I'm going to use my earned bounty to "BUY" users' way in  Smiley

I just sent a detailed email to 6 friends, with a link to the darkcoin wallet, and told them to download it, and send me their addresses.
I will later PM you with their addresses so you can divide equally and send them the bounty.
Once they are in Darkcoin, I believe they will also show/talk about it with friends, and thus the circle around Darkcoin widens.

+1 Nice

I'm rather new here, but what is the status on KGW for Darkcoin?

I'm reading that its vulnerable to a time-warp exploit and allows for someone to execute a 51% attack with much less than 51% of the network.  The Digibyte devs successfully mitigated that exploit with a modified version of KGW and the Doge devs are implementing something similar as well.  Any way that Dark can leverage those two implementations?

Is this anything that Darkcoin should be worried about?
