The coin is being dumped everywhere. Putting up a buy wall wont stop it. As long as dark send is not yet live, it will unfortunately continue. Right now its an aspiration to be the first. We're not there yet.
The problem is there is not enough demand at the moment for the steady supply of fresh coins.
Unfortunately there is no marketing. No PR. No dev interviews. Nothing. Its all hinged on darksend right now. The sooner that is up and running the better.
No marketing is the biggest problem. Early investors and DRK millionairs should fund a reddit/twitter tipbot and run campaigns Also a bounty for a promo video for youtube should be really needed.
Also a google ads campaign for the new website that could aim at crypto noobs, etc etc. (since this coin will have the most competetive feature)
But everyone is just sitting on millions of DRK...

Agreed. A Google News search for "Vertcoin" returns 97 results; "Darkcoin" returns 1.

Can someone offer an explanation as to why the net hashrate of DRK is so low?
It's under 2GH/s, which is about 0.7GH/s scrypt equivalent. When Vertcoin was at a similar stage to DRK, it never dropped below 6.5GH/s. That's nearly 10 times higher!
DRK is currently earning around 0.009 BTC per MH per day, which is around the same as similarly-placed coins. So given its market cap, and decent position with DarkSend still to be introduced, I find it curious that more people aren't mining this coin.

when someone try to force price down he chain price with walls .....but what we have here is someone got ALOT OF DARKCOIN and just want to get out of market FAST for some reason
It was some sad people trying to rush into aurora on poloniex. Hilariously, they are now the bag holders who bought in at 35 dollars.
and with a premine of aurora of 50% and iceland has declared crypto currency illegal i can only assume its a pump and dump operation in progress..
