Yikes 1BTC small change. Damn, well anyway if you have been around long enough to accumulate this kind of crypto wealth i'm guessing you must know enough to see when something is fishy, so i'm still hoping someone can say Yes or No about this. For now i guess i don't have much to worry about since no BTC but hopefully does not attack other wallets.

Where are the smart people to take a look for us and see what's happening with this?

Yeah, i think just cpu for now. I didn't add any nodes and i am getting the odd block now and then. I think on page 2 or 3 someone posted some nodes to add though. Looks like a nice coin and great idea. As above said best not to install on pc with other wallets if they have a large value. However that goes for all coins and new wallets i guess.

I run a VM for all my coins. The only ones on my actual computer are primecoin, protoshares, datacoin, and bitcoin. I transferred coins before I downloaded and used datacoin.

No, the .8XXX is still in my wallet. The 1 BTC is the only coins which are gone from my wallet.

Maybe I'm wrong... I hope that I am. But I don't post on bitcointalk unless it's important. I hoping that if there is a bitcoin stealer there, it was written poorly and I'll get the 1 BTC back.

If someone can confirm this, it would be great. I've run the wallet through a virus program and it has come up clean.

thanks, I think people are warned now. But there is still no proof for that. And, frankly speaking, I don't think that such good idea of coin was developed only to steal few coins (I think that nobody runs unconfirmed exe on machint with major amount of their coins)

Yeah, i believe what you are seeing on the blockchain, i am just asking for someone who knows about malware to scan the windows version of datacoin because it could be something else on your pc causing it. However if it is datacoin i don't want it stealing my quarks next.

1. make sure that BTC are really transferred from your wallet, check if this .8XXX amount really disappears from your wallet (maybe with proofs?..)
2. if 1st suggestion is confirmed, you need to check this on clean virtual machine with only Datacoin and Bitcoin installed, because your computer can be infected with some stealing software, not related to Datacoin.

I believe the windows version contains some sort of Bitcoin stealing code in it.

I had 1.8XXX in my BTC wallet.

I had open both the Bitcoin wallet and the Datacoin wallet.

I attempted to transfer 1 BTC to BTER. Currently, it is showing as an unconfirmed transaction - should have many confirms.

When I went to Blockchain.info I the transfer has 2 transactions.

1. 1 BTC to my BTER deposit address.

The idea is excellent i really like it. Shame only 1meg but even so the chain will be huge.

This idea is very profitable for this coin. It doesn't need stores accepting it so much as other coins do. In near future, when difficulty goes high and there appears some decent price, the block reward will be reasonable reward for people who gives 500-1000-2000 GB of their own HDD space to store information.
