I'd say that means there's been a fork and a block is orphaned.

have you noticed this message from the decred deamon ?  Grin Cool

Adding block 0000000000000de01c085a7dd41c6a5167368f58f012478cbe926a3f173bd282 (height 82115) to sidechain

Does that mean they're already preparing the ground for smart contracts?

The first Security update has been deployed today Wink
Now you can enable 2-factor-auth in your Evolution account and track all your auth sessions.

I've created a thread for development updates and Dcrstats Evolution statistic:
Decred Evolution - Service for easy Proof-of-Stake mining
Please subscribe to new messages if you're interested.
Currently the platform is under active development, so I will be posting some updates and stats almost every day.

seems like accumulation ... I think we will see a nice price move (up) after the btc calm down..

I think you're right! Despite the current btc bullishness, DCR is holding up very nicely Smiley

I think DCR finally found the bottom, i'm watching it very closely last couple of weeks  Smiley

Leaving the speculation aside, i'm amazed, as always, by DCR devs work.

I'm proud to announce a new era in the Decred Proof-of-Stake mining. Now the PoS will be as easy as a transfer from exchange to the Evolution wallet here:

https://evolution.dcrstats.com

You can keep your funds in our wallet and use them both for manual ticket purchasing whenever you want or for automatic PoS-mining. It's the best choice for new investors since now you don't need to install or configure anything. You can just buy some DCR and start receiving your +5-10% per month from the PoS-mining in the Dcrstats Evolution Fund.

We have also a great bonus for those, who will join the Fund during initial seeding phase (2 weeks: 16 Nov - 30 Nov). We will issue free ETH-based tokens for you and you will have a share of the 2.5% service fee. Yep, additional profit for early birds. You will be also able to sell your tokens in our Dcrstats Exchange.

Use this service at your own risk. In the case of total disaster your spendable coins can be stolen by hackers.

PLEASE DON'T USE THIS SERVICE AS YOUR PRIVATE WALLET.
TRY TO KEEP A VERY LITTLE AMOUNT OF SPENDABLE COINS IN THE "EVOLUTION" WALLET.

ALL YOUR COINS MUST BE LOCKED. YOU SHOULD EITHER ALWAYS INVEST UP TO 100% COINS IN TICKETS, OR WITHDRAW / AUTO-WITHDRAW ALL SPENDABLE COINS TO YOUR PRIVATE WALLET.

Great news, Decred shows that developers are actively working for the currency.

How long should it take to open the webwallet Huh
it feels like ages.
I have a web wallet since the beginning.
can I import this wallet into a desktop wallet with the seed?

What browser and OS do you use? (i know there were some problems with iOS devices in web wallet)
As for desktop wallet, I'm not sure if devs added import to Paymethus (I think no), but you can use a command line wallet dcrwallet to import your seed. The instruction is here: https://docs.decred.org/getting-started/overview/
I use Firefox on Win7 64bit, so nothing special.
maybe I'll try the command line guide later.
thank you

where will the smart contract be added into DCR ?

Good question. I don't know if we have an ETA on that.
I know there's a programmer working on it.

I think there's no ETA for smart contracts, but they are under development. But there's also more coming, as i quote dev's words: "We will be doing a marketing push in the coming months, along with a cross-platform GUI based in electron. The behind the scenes improvements we made may seem boring, but they are in fact laying the groundwork for the amazing things to come. Stay tuned... "

And also this: https://forum.decred.org/threads/stake-pool-is-now-open-source.4066/#post-22436

So there's lot's of features coming.

Thanks man, that sounds amazingly exciting. I'm glad I stuck with Decred since the beginning, never sold one DCR and only kept on buying more and accumulating, PoS staking.  Cheesy

Indeed, dev's seems to be very serious with this project. Accumulating and staking toward next year =)

Ya, dev work may not be so publicly followed or kept up on, but the work can clearly be seen by anyone checking out the github.  I've stopped PoW mining, but still haven't sold a single dcr (and PoS constantly).  Nothing but good things can come for the future of this coin.
