There are actually hundreds of lousy Bitcoin copy alt-crypto currencies that I do not care about. At all. Like Dogecoin or Trumpcoin or Fedoracoin and what-have-you coin.

Do you know how often I post in those coins' threads?  You guessed it: I never post in those threads.

You know why? Because I don't care about those coins.

I post in the Decred thread and in the XCP (Counterparty) threads because I think there's something extremely interesting about these two projects.

This is what rational behavior looks like: you spend your valuable free time for things you care about...

So the people who spam this thread with FUD - they are either a) irrational, spending time for things they do not care about; or b) have ulterior motives.

They claim their "ulterior motive" is humanitarian, to "help others by warning them", well if you believe that, you might as well believe in unicorns.

Anyway, I've been following Bitcoin since its price was well below $1 and every time its price was dropping, people were saying "it's over, it's dead"...

Yawn.

If anyone is interested in some creative work, please check out RFP-7. It's about crafting Decred's identity, aligning that identity across the different platforms, and a redesign of https://decred.org. The code is maturing well after a ton of usage in the first three months. There's been a lot of development activity in the underlying system, but it's also important to pay attention to the front-end after all that improvement in the back-end. It may be of interest if you're looking for a side project and have an interest in web design.

yes i feel i will sell most my coins now too Sad

Me too. I'm just waiting for my last 4 tickets to come in. Only thing that may change my mind is if an official, fully functional, GUI wallet for mainnet comes out. Then I may consider holding on to the little that I have left.

I bought these coins at about 290K when it first came on Bittrex, so with all the tickets I staked, I did ROI and then some. I actually think this coin has held up quite well, considering the airdrop, mining and staking. That's a lot of dump pressure.

I think selling it now would be a good idea, then buy it back at around 50K-100K after two to three months.

Haha...  sell cheap and buy expensive?

Sounds like a solid plan.

It already is dead. I said this 6 weeks ago.

Why are you still here? Is it because you cant figure out the wallet and are just waiting to dump your airdrop?

What?
I already sold my DCR and I'm not as stupid as some ppl might be.. so I won't buy DCR ever again.

I'm just here to prevent ppl from losing their money.

I don't care abought the price.. so don't tell me I do this to dump the price...

Agree, That user sai about DCR dead 6 weeks ago or more, when price was 0.005
Up to now, he made a huge profit, holder and dreamers lost since price dropped to 0.003.

Pulling numbers out of your ass I see? Ok, I'll play.

Highest DCR value as per Bittrex was 0.004 on Apr 19.  Current price is 0.0031, 22.5% lower.  Average ticket price in pool is 13.6DCR, so at present average earning is 13.2% compounding interest every approximately 28 days (and this ignores the fact that block rewards were higher then).  Guess how long it will take to recoup the "I should have sold in April" difference in value? About 50 days.

So you're trying to help people you say?

Take the FUD somewhere else...

Are you talking to me?

If yes - just stfu Smiley

The numbers aren't from me.

And btw. the highest price on bittrex was 0.0062X. That's round about double the value that it has got now.

You can continue to buy your tickets to get some .X DCR per draw... but that doesn't change the fact that DCR is dead and the price is dropping.

Your "earnings" from the tickets will not even cover the price loss of DCR in those 28 days..

Agree +100 with 1337leet
We are talking about fact, reality and market. It's not fud.

Then.....dream on about future, when dcr will reach 20k, when eth reach 300k, when bitcoin reach 1000k, when humans could fly clappings hands.

Luckly people who sold at 0.006.

Just read this thread back. Many people sold at 0.006 and were blasted. " YOu sold at 0.006,your'e going to cry cause price will only encrease. Dcr is the future, bla bla bla"
They win, everyone else who hold, lost.

Interesting ideas, but from a stakeholder point of view the price of DCR could fall at a rate of 10% per month, and you would still be breaking even at ticket prices <18DCR. At the estimated next ticket price of 10DCR, you are earning nearly 18% return every 28 days (average) at the current block reward level.  That's the thing about DCR, you don't need for the coin to go "to the moon" to make your money.  And frankly, the less speculators who try manipulating the market the better, it allows the stakeholders who believe in the coin for the long run and what it brings to the community the ability to make their money over a long span of time.  Much healthier than the too-typical overnight pump-dump get rich quick bullshit that more or less every other altcoin falls in to.

So IMO, feel free to dump your DCR, call it a failure and run to the next shit-coin that pops up.  Maybe you'll make it rich, maybe you'll lose everything.  Won't be any skin off my nose either way.  And to be realistic, if you look at the price of DCR since the beginning, it has found quite healthy support at the 0.003-.0031 mark.  That's more important to me than setting ATH's, but then again I'm not a day trader. Anyone who has been a stakeholder since it first opened has more than doubled their investment at this time.

(This is directed at no one in particular, but you will know if you fit the mold)

Words of wisdom. Decred is not regular pump and dump coin. You  just stake > get more -> stake -> get more, etc. I think that Decred is one of the stablest coins. It's no reason to dump, only stake.
