An update to RFP-5 that many of you may find interesting. Congratulations to Dirbaio, ocminer, tpruvot, and Wolf!

When will this improved miners be available (especially cgminer)?

The developers should be able to give you some insight into their progress when they visit here or in the thread.

How much I should expect from 7950 mining decred in stock clock? Is it profitable now ? Please tell me
Regards

You can calculate decred reward here: http://decred-calc.cryptohub.info/

This calculator shows too much.

900 MH/s = 1 DCR / Day....

Why do you always post this calculator again... have you never calculated your own outcome?...

Hi all. How to reduce high CPU load on new sgminer? I have 3x750Ti working fine with this new miner, but with 60-70% CPU load.

You could use ccminer. Besides that, I'll get on it.
Yes, but new sgminer already have better optimized decred kernel

What SGMiner? And for Nvidia?
Yes, from tpruvot: https://github.com/tpruvot/sgminer

Not much different from the stock kernel. Anyways, use what you like. I'll be fixing the CPU load in mine, and he'll probably pull the code.
Maybe so, i do not understand the code but if ccminer with my 750Ti have ~505 Mh/s this new sgminer have ~540 Mh/s

What speeds do you get on 970's and 960's?

assuming same core clock you can do the math yourself ...

3250 / 2816 * 2048 = ~ 2363

3250 / 2816 * 1664 = ~ 1920

3250 / 2816 * 1024 = ~ 1181

1920 is a bit too high for a 970, i think iot's more ont he range of 1600-1700

Hi there!New forum member!(And also a noob one Tongue )
Just a quick question.I have a r9 280x vapor-x edition and I would like to know if it is possible to put commands like --thread-concurrency --gpu-engine and other commands like that to increase hashrate!
Also is it more profitable to solo mine? And if yes could I have a tutorial showing me how to set up solo mining?
Thanks in advance! Grin  Grin  Grin  Tongue

Thread concurrency doesn't even make sense for this algo.
As I said I just got started mate And I am total noob regarding mining. My batch looks like this right now.Can you give it a look?(Also have you created a binary for this algorithm wolf?I didnt find one Tongue )
cgminer.exe --blake256 -o http://dcr.suprnova.cc:9111 -u user.user -p x -I 14 -g 2 -w 256

I am getting avg 1.382 ghs.Is there any any way to increase this?isnt it low for a r9 280x?
(Well is dcr still profitable for gpus?It seems a lot of people mine it...)

iam guessing some eth miners have moved to Dcr. Sudden jump in global hash rate.

FPGA's are mining this now
I need to get my hands on some but have no idea of any that aren't so old that you can't find them anymore. I was literally about to buy like 3-4 GPUs today but now I'm unsure of what to do.  Huh

Wait until I get the big gun I just discovered I have online. It's gonna be biblical Cheesy

I hope it is an optimization to GPUs that make it competitive enough for FPGAs

Nope! A board I have had for a long while that I haven't investigated. 8 quite awesome chips on board...
What do you think you'll get Wolf0..... 8 Th..... Cheesy

I don't personally have 280X, I used to mine with a bunch of GTX 970, 750 Ti and 960. I got 1,3 GH/s for each 970, so getting 2,2 GH/s per 280X isn't surprising I think. That's data that I grabbed on the web, so it might be false. In all the cases, you'll always have at least 1,2 GH/s.

lol what Asus Fury X - 2.5 gh/s, 7970 - 1.3 gh/s, what version of 280x can do 2.2? or what ulta-supa-bupa miner need to use, tell us pls
thanks

When I try to send from one wallet to another:

-32603 Insufficient funds.. transaction requires X coins... even though I have enough overall in the wallet
Is it a matter of having to use sendfrom ?
Shouldn't it take from the default acc. ?

Anyone had this issue ? I found it here:

https://github.com/decred/dcrwallet/issues/22

How is it resolved? I'm using 0.0.7. ... was this resolved in 0.0.8 ?

Restore your wallet from seed in v0.0.8 (make a backup first). You may need to run the consolidate command:

Quote
Dust can be taken care of by the new consolidate command: 'dcrctl --wallet consolidate 99999 default'. This will condense all small outputs into one large output. In the next version, the correction of fees for transaction should keep this issue from ever coming up again.

Hey guys I was in the airdrop but I haven't looked at much since launch. Anything new? Also how many coins can I mine per day with 5x r9 280x and a r9 290x. Let me know, thanks!

I won't be as unfriendly as some user. With those nice GPUs, you can except around 30 DCR a day with the current hashrate and difficulty. That's around 0,15BTC per day, so quite nice Wink ! If you feel generous, don't hesitate to PM me Smiley !

30?... never

I use 2 6990 dual gpu's and one 6970 and I get about 4-4,5 DCR / day.
280X isn't 7 times as fast.

You can say 900 Mh/s = 1 DCR / day

A 280X produces around 2,2 GH/s. I just picked the numbers from Suprnova.cc, and generally they're quite exact. However, it can fluctuate throught the time, that's why I put a disclosure.

What miner are you using to get that from a 280X?
