had it, lost it, got it, read it, been here, been there ive got got loads of addresses, seeds, i have them too (bugger knows how i will ever get to my airdrop) now all gone tits up, ive wasted too much of my precious time, i give up.
If you're having trouble, don't be disheartened. You will be able to claim your airdrop using the web wallet without hassle. You can rest easy.

Wow, that's pretty much. I tought it will be much harder to mine some. I heard some guys here made some insane rigs.Really ? That seems like a lot of coin to be honest, well there aren't many miners so the rewards will change a lot but still it seems mining DCR will be profitable maybe it will even be profitable buying some hashing. (Hint Hint to anyone who wants to rent some hash right now, if you got the rigs set them up). I tried mining a bit also but my card is way too weak to have any kind of hashrate. If the launch was a month later i would have been better oh mining power wise

Had some rest trying with a fresh mind, this page i have found here https://forum.decred.org/threads/brief-guide-setting-up-testnet-wallet-sending-and-receiving-coins-windows-only.355/#post-4802 and a combination of previous answers, i think will get me up and running. will report back soon, going to delete everything and start over.

dcrctl --testnet -u user -P pass --wallet getaddressesbyaccount default --notls?? No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it.
That means your dcrwallet not running. dcrd&dcrwallet both must be online.
http: TLS handshake error from [::1]:56790: tls: oversized record received with length 21536 is this ok, ?
remove --notls flag from

Made a few tests and I can't replicate the same error, it happens only when you try to launch dcrctl with --notls flag available, without it dcrctl lists all dcrwallet addresses.

8 hours going in circles, ahh well, not pulling any more hair out and messing up my airdrop wallet, ill be patient and wait for a more user friendly version.
Testnet does not mess with your airdrop address or seed key. Why not try and figure it out so you can be ready for launch of mainnet.

ive got testnet running fine with a user pass currently block 2120
ive set up new wallet with same details got seed and hex
but i cant find the "--miningaddr=" address from wallet
?? if i can work this out i will be able to pass the knowledge on to other users, thanks
