Alright everyone, the poll is over and by a overwhelming majority were putting the coins to use.

Anyone have any thoughts on how to sell them off they want to share?  We're going to try and come up with a plan and get things moving this weekend.

It's looking like our old network is officially dead.  No one is able to sync any more and doing more trade-ins makes me very nervous that people may take advantage of the situation.  For the past couple days I have been fulfilling requests by having people send to coins without connection and send me screen shots of the tx details.  I'm getting very uncomfortable about doing it this way and am unfortunately going to stop taking trade-in requests.

Effective immediately if I have not received an email form you I can not fulfill your trade-in request.  I will take care of the couple people I'm waiting for replies from but that's the last of it.

We have been advertising the trade-in for about a month now which is more time then any other coin in this position has given.  I'm sorry for anyone who missed the message but we need to move on.

On the plus side... lots of cheap DIEM for sale on Polo!  Go get some!

I'm going to leave the poll up for 2 more days but it seems like the decision has been made.  Were already working on a strategy for the unclaimed coins.

GREAT NEWS EVERYONE!!!

YarkoL, the dev currently working with LOVE, has accepted a position as DIEM's official dev.  He's been working with us behind the scenes for a while now and we finally talked him into making it official.  New wallets with working PoS and a few other fixes will be out soon.

Everyone show him some love and buy some LOVE   Grin

I didn't sift through all the posts, but i get an error when opening the new client with the old wallet.

Warning: Error reading wallet.dat! All keys read correctly, but transaction data or address book entries might be missing or incorrect.

after that it dies.

Before using the new wallet u need to delete the old wallet and the info in %appdata%. That way its starting fresh. Just make sure your old wallet does not have a balance

QUICK FIX FOR MAC WALLETS

Getting reports that the mac wallet isn't working correctly.  Will look at it tomorrow.
We need some hash on the network.  If you have an extra BE lying around please mine.

Quick fix by bitsta of the dev team wich is working on it.

Copy paste file qt.app. in the folder Frameworks to the path it shows in the errormessage that the lyb couldn't be loaded

This is a little unclear. There is no "qt.app" to copy paste into the Frameworks folder. There is a carpediem-Qt file in the Contents/MacOS folder, but copy/pasting this has no effect.

This is the error report I got:
Dyld Error Message:
  Library not loaded: /opt/local/lib/db48/libdb_cxx-4.8.dylib
  Referenced from: /Applications/CryptoCurrency Apps/carpediemcoin-Qt.app/Contents/MacOS/carpediemcoin-Qt
  Reason: image not found

Would love to try out this wallet.

Soon we will have a new wallet to fix PoS issues and a few other bugs.

Destroying the coins would not only be better for short but also for long term development of DIEM.
Reducing coin supply will drive up prices.
Adding coins will lead to declines.

If new investors wanted to get into DIEM coins they can just buy them on the exchanges, they do not need another IPO.

How would destroying the coins be better for long term development compared to having a boat load of money to promote the coin, educate people about crypto currency, and get it into businesses down the road?  To make progress we will need funding.  Were competing against 500 other coins out there that all do the same thing in most regards.

Short term you are correct, it would drive up prices.  However without being capable of being in the public eye how long before people get bored with us and we fade off into oblivion?

Also keep in mind, we are not adding coins to the supply.  IPO is probably the wrong term to be using.  We would simply be releasing them back into the market.  I don't think releasing them at the same time would be the best scenario after some thought either.  Slowly in multiple ways using leverage whenever we can to get the most bang for our buck.

I would really love to hear some of your thoughts if you would hop into our IRC and chat for a bit.  Freenode #carpediempool

Sounds reasonable. I agree that you need funding to promote the coin. There is fierce competition and the risk is that DIEM gets forgotten soon. This is why you should find ways to communicate to the community and investors the benefit of DIEM over other coins.
The torture test is always to ask someone who is not part of the team: Would you want this coin? Would you buy it?

I for myself, did not grasp why I should hold DIEM and not one of the other 500 coins.

I am happy to jump into the IRC in some point, but no time today.

CARPEDIEM!

I look forward to it.  My name in there is tripppn.
