Greetings @everyone!
I wanted to give you an overview of the past and future weeks!
First of all, we want to thank all supporters out there for staying with us , even during tough times.
We know that the past weeks were special, we had ups and downs and also learned from new situations, we didn´t expect to see that soon
Some weeks have passed since we forked at Block 480000. The fork itself was succesful and we updated to Version 2.1.3
The main Reason for the Fork itself, was the quickly increased Hashrate due ASICs hitting the markets.
The old difficulty Algorithm was not suitable for the changed mining situation.
The Difficulty raised to astronomic levels, so we had to change the Difficulty Algorithm to LWMAv2.
A special thx to our Discord Users: @General, @Flong, @Higgy, @Mr Wyzurd , Deathsquad, @Jojo for their input on our different versions
During the last weeks, we experienced some severe problems caused mainly by 2 reasons:- ASIC Solominers started to mine with wrong configurations and versions
- Some Pools not updating to the new versions, even after contacting them several times on known channels
This uncommon behaviour caused instabilities on the network. Because of this and some other "bad actors" on our network,
the syncing process was hard to maintain stable, hence the wallets not syncing correctly.
Exchanges have enhanced requirements for their wallets in comparison to a normal user, since they also have the responsibility for your funds.
After severe changes on a crypto project, it can always take some time to get everything ironed out to get the same user experience then before.
To get the exchanges up and running quickly after the fork, there was a possibility for compromises, which none of the parties were 100% confident with.
All parties decided to wait until the fixed versions were released. Testing and fixing has happened,a new version will be deployed soon.
Since this behaviour is no unintentional one, we have to mark this situation as an attack. Especially the pool owners not willing to upgrade made the whole situation not easier.
Because of this, we had to rethink our pool strategy, and came to the conclusion that we will remove the non responding and cooperating pools from our pool lists.
Also, we will implement mechanisms with an upcoming emergency fork possible already next weekend.
Those new implementations will be optimised through the upcoming weeks to avoid such problems in the future.
I will release a more technical explanation to this in a future info release. Please stay tuned!
As a very positive example i want to mention the communication and teamwork with the Admin of the Alternative Pool Crypto-Coins.club
Even during tough times, the admin always remained solution oriented and professional, which is the best thing to work with during such times.
We should be all interrested in solutions, so thank you for your cooperation!
Again, i want to urge our community, to point the miners to either one of the following pools:
http://poolmining1.dinastycoin.com/http://poolmining2.dinastycoin.com/http://dcy.crypto-coins.club/https://dcy.leafpool.com/ALL OTHER POOLS ARE NOT SAFE TO USE UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE - you have been warned! You can actively help and contribute! Since Blockchain is not a one man show, all users and supporters are encouraged to take part in our project.
Enough from the past, let´s talk about the future The first thing we will do is to fork probably this week, the pool owners and exchanges are already informed.
The next steps will be to release a new version so the exchanges and pools can update their servers and wallets to finally close this chapter.
After everything has settled, the exchange wallets will also be online again, so deposit and withdrawals are available again.
Upcoming News: The New Exchange will end the testing phase soon. Please keep an eye for more infos
Different VIP Membership Levels are available - more informations will be released soon. You will love it.
Translations of our ecosystem will be finalised
Web Wallet will be made available for our international community
More Informations on Version 3.0
and many more...
The Team wants to thank you again for your ongoing support, even through tough times. Best Regards,
Bill
