Really try to see the creation date of yours .dat file and select the current version of Doge.core at that time, maybe it will work if you haven't messed up with the wallet file.  https://github.com/dogecoin/dogecoin/releases

Can anyone here post the download page for the dogecoin core wallet that is this version?:  Dogecoin Core 1.14.3

I found the information page for this version, but I could not figure out how to download it from that page and if I could?

Thank you.  This is the core wallet in use when I downloaded the first one I sent my Dogecoins to.

Thank you guys for the feedback and the similar tips.

I am going to try that.

Another thing I am going to try is to create a blank space by moving the whole password over after I paste it in.

If I accidentally created a blank space to the left of the password when I create the password, that may be the reason.

But I think I would have discovered this earlier.  So I may try this first and then try your solutions.

THANKS A MILLION !!!

I have an encrypted wallet file and that is the only way I have to set up my desktop core wallet.

The problem is that my password is not working to send out the DOGE I want to send out of the wallet.

If I can not get my password to work, how can I send out my coins?  Is there a work around?

Need to get a hold of those coins.

How can I obtain the private keys or pass phrase if the password for the encrypted wallet does not work?

Please help.  Thank you

There is no workaround, unfortunately, The only way is to try another password.

Not sure how old your wallet is but if you are certain you are entering the correct password, I suppose you could try using an older version of Dogecoin Core, one that was contemporaneous with the age of your wallet. That really shouldn't matter, though.

We are happy to announce the institution of a new community Dogecoin Core development fund, managed by existing core developers and Dogecoin Foundation board director signatories, along with transparency blog posts forthcoming for all expenditures and developments. The Dogecoin Foundation has taken the step of moving 5,000,000 Dogecoin to the development fund, with the intent that this will be allocated to Dogecoin Core, the development of which is critical and to the benefit of the Dogecoin ecosystem.
https://foundation.dogecoin.com/announcements/2022-12-31-corefund/

This event has a weird backstory. I've been following it on Twitter. Early last year, two of the signatories of a Dogecoin Core developer tipjar multisig wallet moved 5 million DOGE into a wallet that belongs to the Dogecoin Foundation. These two signatories are also members of the Dogecoin Foundation. This caused some controversy among Dogecoin Core developers (and then the larger community) as the funds were moved not in accordance with the usual protocol, and to be spent on non-Core related matters.

Fast forward nearly a year later: the Foundation has returned the funds to Core developers but framed it in such a way as it appears to be a gift (see the quoted text above).

I don't really know what the Foundation is doing to help Dogecoin -- they seem to be creating more problems than they are solving.

We can make any assumptions about what kind of preludes there were before what happened, but I still hope that this will somehow move and help move forward, otherwise only hope for Musk's tweets, but this is also a one-time surge.

Given that the use of the custodians' wallet funds is intended exclusively for Doge core developers, and involves the distribution of 500,000 Doge among the participants of the updated Dogecoin Core releases, this may significantly affect the intensity of developers and we may see more development news in the future.

I am happy for you being all-in at the moment but how do you know when to get in and out of Dogecoin?

Not often do I get the chance to say this, so I'm gonna say it:

Sure am glad to be all-in on Dogecoin right now  Cheesy

Usually there's a specific (*cough* Elon-related) reason for a DOGE pump but today bucks that trend.

Instead from what I gather people are attributing it to the recent interest of this guy Bill Pulte.

Don't know anything about him but he's going around giving away Dogecoin to people.

Well, in fact, he distributes not only Doge, he conducts sweepstakes among his followers with notifications enabled, choosing winners randomly, if I understood everything correctly, well, the one who received 2,209 DOGE from @pulte just sold them right there.

The larger the investment the better the returns even with a fractional increases but when Musk posts about it the pumps come in to play. Buying before the pumps then dumping before the price drops is key. I am happy for you being all-in at the moment but how do you know when to get in and out of Dogecoin?

I may be late here, but it doesn't hurt to say that 2nd November marked the 17th Birthday of Kabosu the Shiba Inu dog that is the face of the Doge currency and yes, the dog is still alive and kicking

Nice to see Real Doge is still alive. How long can they live? Google says 12-15 years and the oldest one was 26.

Long Live Doge!
