The connection between doge and twitter purchase deal is not clear. Like always markets are controlled by him and by his measly word whether it is backed by real things or just a gibberish. Twitter is cheap asf right now. He might be aiming to pump it like no tomorrow but wants it cheaper. He fudded ukraine war to bring markets down and to trigger a huge amounts of bots lacing back at him to justify his claim about twitter bot issues to cut himself a better acquisition price.

This post makes very little sense, and just about every part of it is incorrect.

- The connection is Elon has stated he thinks Twitter premium services should be purchasable with Dogecoin. He will also probably make DOGE the official tipping currency of Twitter.

- Markets aren't "controlled by him."

- He's literally buying out every share of Twitter to take the company private... it won't be publicly traded after then.

https://finance.yahoo.com/news/twitter-intends-close-deal-with-musk-194652129.html

- He's buying it at $54.20 a share, which is the price of his original offer:

DOGE pumps 7% as Elon's Twitter deal comes back to life

https://www.bbc.com/news/business-63137114

Quote
Billionaire Elon Musk has apparently changed his mind about buying Twitter, again, and is now willing to proceed with his takeover of the social media platform.

In a letter to the firm, Mr Musk agreed to pay the price he offered months ago before trying to quit the deal.

The surprise reversal comes just weeks before the two sides were due in court.

Twitter, which had sued Mr Musk to force the takeover to move forward, was seen as having the stronger case.

In the letter, attorneys for Mr Musk said he intended to move ahead to complete the transaction, pending receipt of the financing and an end of the legal fight.

A spokesperson for Twitter acknowledged the firm had received the proposal, adding "the intention of the company is to close the transaction at $54.20 per share" - the price that Mr Musk promised in April.

Every time I see anything about doge, all I can think about is how I wish I still had the 12 million DOGE I sold in 2014 for a crappy used Mustang.

This failure will follow me to my grave.

Forget about it and move forward. FOMO will be in every coin you bought. Better check activity of Dogecoin team on Github and you will understand that maybe this is a dip or not.

lol

Yeah, it doesn't bug me anymore, but when I see something about DOGE it can still come back to haunt me for a moment.

Lessons learned. I'm doing well these days with crypto, but still... coulda retired last year if I still held it. Oh well. In 2014, nobody could have ever expected it to do what it did in 2021.

Situation can be changed. I think that after bitcoin halving there will be a new wave of hamster in Dogecoin

Saying that a single Bitcoin transaction consumes a significant amount of energy is what's obtuse.

That's not what's being said. Its simply a metric for representing how much energy is used in the process of bitcoin mining. And obviously only on-chain transactions are being considered for this purpose. I suspect you knew these things already, which makes continuing this conversation pointless.

No, you can't, not in 2022. You're being obtuse for the sake of making a point that only applies to a hypothetical situation.
But, you don't make a point. Saying that a single Bitcoin transaction consumes a significant amount of energy is what's obtuse. What's power consuming is mining, not transacting. A block might contain just 1 transaction, that doesn't mean that the cost to make this single transaction was millions. Secondly, 1 on-chain transaction doesn't equalize with 1 transaction necessarily. During the past 4 months, I've opened about 12 Lightning channels, while I've made more than 30 transactions off-chain.

Measuring transactions in energy spent is just pointless.

Bitcoin: ~707 KWh
You know you can make a nearly infinite number of transactions with these kilowatts instead of just 1, right?

Apparently the number is over double that these days, anyway.

As of mid-July, a single bitcoin transaction required 1719.51 kilowatt hours (kWh)

Vitalik Buterin said, that Dogecoin can move on PoS consensus mechanism. Earlier this year, it was reported that Vitalik was working with the Dogecoin foundation to migrate it from PoW to PoS. I think US can impact to all Pow crypto to move on PoS.

Are you really comparing BTC SHA256 and LTC S-Crypt hashrate 1:1?
If such a comparison is desired it should be done based on energy used by the hashing for each algo respectively.

That just makes the difference between BTC and LTC/DOGE even greater...

Here's another way of looking at things. As of Sept. 2021, in terms of energy consumption per transaction:

Bitcoin: ~707 KWh
Ethereum: 62.5 KWh
Dogecoin: 0.12 KWh

BTC is a beast in energy consumption compared to ETH, and ETH was a beast compared to DOGE... no reason for DOGE to switch to PoS.

Meanwhile, here is a screenshot of four coin hash rates pre-merge:

Bitcoin's hash rate is hundreds of times higher than DOGE, LTC (which are actually merge-mined) and ETH. Granted, zero energy consumption is better than some... but in comparison the three altcoins are just tiny blips compared to the amount of energy consumed by Bitcoin.

What DOGE really needs is adoption, first and foremost.

Best is if Doge gets a team of promotors that will actively get new businesses on board. The bigger the better.

Doge has a huge amount of creative fans already, there must be enough to fund some workers.

Sad that was the reason behind the DOGE mini-pump...

Why doesn't Vitalik care if Litecoin moves to Proof of Stake?

VB again touched on the topic of the transition of Doge to PoS and that he hopes this will happen soon, for the first time he touched on this topic back in interview in February UpOnly (time code 20:35-Proof of Stake / NFTs) when he talked about the need to abandon mining Doge and now repeats it again.

i use to have 1 milion doge

sold at 1 cent before big pump Huh stupid trade

hi, no one is stupid, maybe at first you are not patient enough and we will never know when to pump or dump, and when the pump was massive it was because there were very good influencers too at that time
