is there something wrong with what i said  Grin Grin

Well yeah, first of all DOGE never reached a dollar, it topped out at 74 cents in May 2021. Second of all people who know DOGE know Binance has a terrible track record with it, between trying to extort users out of funds they sent in error and pushing BSC-DOGE as the real Dogecoin while making its withdrawal fee significantly lower than that of DOGE. Which leads me to believe your claim about having funds on Cryptopia when it closed is also not true.

Anyway, great to see DOGE pumping over the last 24 hours when all the other big boy coins are pretty much flat (sans XRP... whats up with that, lol).

Speaking of Big Boy Coins, DOGE is once again in the CMC Top 10...

yes I also lost there about 2k Dogecoin before when the price of Dogecoin was still looking cheap I still say it's normal to lose a little money but after seeing the price of Dogecoin hit $1 last time it really makes me regret losing my dogecoin there, but I also don't store completely on new exchanges or small exchanges usually i keep 80% in wallet and 20% traded on binance exchange which is certainly a trusted and big exchange

I don't know sometimes I prefer to buy things with Fiat money and I'd rather hold Dogecoin as an investment than spend it to buy something using my Dogecoin, but I also fully support Elon really keeping his promise to push Dogecoin as a means of payment in his company Tesla

Yes, of course, Doge is the best long-term investment, but there is more calculation on marketing, of course, because for large holders of 1000 Doge is not a problem, the main thing is not to keep coins on exchanges waiting for a pump, unless you are a trader, one of my comrades lost on cryptopia 900k Doge and what will happen to them in the future is not yet I see.

Obviously you're allowed to do with your DOGE whatever you want, though:

1. It IS a currency first and foremost, hence the term cryptocurrency. Without people using it as such, it will never attain any kind of true utility and be relegated to the likes of a speculative investment, along with 99% of all other altcoins.

2. Its true that the longer you hold DOGE on an exchange, the more likely you are to someday lose it... whether the exchange goes under, KYC's you out of your account, or you simply lose access to your login credentials and there's no way to restore them.

Once you get some DOGE, its best to save some and then spend some... use it for what it was made to do.

Well, the news is still coming in little by little, although not directly related to the coin itself, but, for example, here Tesla is starting to release a new Cyberwhistle, inspired by its futuristic Cybertruck series, and it can only be bought for Doge, the price was 1000 Doge Smiley :

The Cyberwhistle has been out for a bit -- since Jan I think. I bought the Big T belt buckle then, paying with DOGE of course. I use it at least a few times a week! It both makes my jeans heavier and holds them up at the same time. Its pretty cool, happy to be a Elon Fanboy.

Cool, I also noticed that it was withdrawn from sale, maybe it just ended, there's like a limited edition whistle, otherwise why would Elon Musk give it out for news.

Thread is dead AF, Fred...

Anyway, DOGE is having a nice lil run, spiked all the way up to 8.75 cents before coming back down to the low 8's.

Some are attributing the pump to a recently-launched project called DogeChain, which I'd just like to point out, is in no way associated or endorsed by Dogecoin or its devs. DogeChain is a Polygon clone that uses DOGE for gas, and so far its been nothing but a complete shit token casino.

But you don't have to take my word for it. Here's some quotes from Dogecoin devs and foundation members about it:

9 years... The children that liked dogecoin due to its appearance are now older, they'll have jobs and some of them will think about dogecoin as a serious investment.

If you are into the tech stuff you can try https://www.reddit.com/r/dogecoindev/

I do moderate that sub, so I am a bit bias... but this is where I look out for most news or get in touch with the devs (:

Sure, I visit there about once a month. Have mainly been on Twitter these days, trying to promote Dogeparty.

You know whats weird? I received more pushback against Dogeparty from the Dogecoin crowd than any other. Even ETH and BTC people are far more accepting of it. I thought for sure Dogecoin peeps would be thrilled to know how cheap and easy it was to mint NFTs on Dogecoin, but nope. We were met with a lot of skepticism and hostility.

Meanwhile a certain self-declared "Dogecoin dev" (a recent addition to the scene) is trying to make NFTs for Dogecoin and everyone loves him, even though his system hasn't actually been built yet. He's basically trying to recreate Dogeparty from the ground up.

Weird.

Crazy to think at one time this thread was the central hub for all things Dogecoin. Now its become something of a ghost town, along with most of the forum

That is ture... unfortunately I joined to late (:

Crazy to think at one time this thread was the central hub for all things Dogecoin. Now its become something of a ghost town, along with most of the forum, for that matter... I spent the last few months over on Twitter, which is much more lively, though not without its flaws.

Want to share this here in case there are any DOGE users interested in minting their own NFTs on the Dogecoin blockchain for dirt cheap.

A Collection of Important Dogeparty Links

Basic information about Dogeparty: https://dogeparty.net

Download a Dogewallet (for Windows, iOS, or Linux): https://github.com/DogepartyXDP/dogewallet-desktop/releases

Dogeparty University (video tutorials): https://dp.university/curriculum

Dogeparty Complete Guide (also downloadable as PDF): https://dogermint.com/dogeparty/

Rare Doge Directory (collection of every Rare Doge card from the series): https://raredogedirectory.com/

Dogermint homepage (collection of all vintage releases from the series): https://dogermint.com/

Why do you want to use Dogeparty?

Because it is the easiest, cheapest, and fastest way to get started minting your own NFTs! Token data is stored on the Dogecoin blockchain, which is faster than Bitcoin and cheaper than Ethereum. Plus, it's not going anywhere any time soon! Dogeparty is also a secure, time-tested platform, ported directly from Counterparty, which hosts the billion-dollar Rare Pepe series.

What do I need to get started?

All that is required is a Dogewallet and a handful of DOGE to create an Unnamed Token. If you want to create a Named Token, this will require an additional 0.5 XDP; XDP being the utility token for the Dogeparty platform.

Whale accumulate Doge so one of the whales bought 18,800,433 Doge in the amount of $1,256,188, perhaps this indicates the imminent growth of the coin if the market contributes to that. Smiley

You know what's interesting is the guy didn't actually buy DOGE but a Binance pegged version of DOGE, BSC-DOGE. It's almost as good as the real thing, but not quite.

For the longest time Binance refused to post Proof of Assets to back Dogecoin, but only did so recently after repeated demands from the Twitter community. They also inadvertently disclosed that not all of their pegged token was backed by real DOGE, but the soon remedied that by burning the excess tokens.

Yes, indeed, binance certainly acts very freely in relation to the creation of wrapped tokens, also at one time, referring to the fact that as a result of the hype demand for shib, they ran out of addresses on the eth network, and they released binance-peg shib, which of course causes irritation on the part of holders.
