Hmm I get 250kh with an Athlon X2 on windows 7 64bit! Are you using the optimised miner that came with the client?
I would guess you should be getting more out of an I7, though mining with a laptop isn't a great idea.

im only using 4 of the 8 threads. i get too hot and it doesnt improve hash rates to use 7 (saving one so the computer can function).

im using sse4 minerd. i dont know if its the right one whats the link?

ya your right. may ruin all the fun. im on all the time anyway so 6 registered votes an hour is still a allot. if it takes longer just means we will have more coins before it hits an exchange and more to earn anyway.

Ok it looks like you have a corrupt blockchain. Navigate to your %appdata%/Dougcoin directory and backup your wallet.dat file (copy it to your desktop). After backing up your wallet delete the 3 folders inside the Dougcoin directory (blocks, chainstate, database). Run the wallet and re-download the block chain. Let me know how it goes.

**Edit** I guess backing up the wallet doesn't matter in this situation but it doesn't hurt.
