It often is, especially when it comes to participants of signature campaigns that pay for 10 posts a day 6 days a week. The result is watered-down text that rarely contains anything of substance. Not that such posts are necessarily even considered "spam" in the eyes of the moderators. I realize standards are quite low around here these days. But the amount of shitposts your campaign members have been generating is pretty astounding, that's why I'm here in this thread in the first place.

But in regards, its more of a parody with elon and that of a meme coin rather than something like ethereum

We have those in campaign that requires upto 40 to 50 posts per week, with  that you can also say they're spamming because they just have 2-3 days off if they were to write 10 post each per day but spam isn't about the amount of post you have to write per week because you can spam while writing just one post in a week. You can write 20 post a day and still not spam. Spamming isn't subjective to the quantity of posts we make.

You can write just 25 post to be eligible for payment in the campaign you're participating in and all that you have written isn't worth reading so what's the point here. Nobody asked the participants to make 60 post, we said the maximum to be paid for is 60 so the participants are free to choose any number they're comfortable with making. We have set rules for the campaign and anybody breaking it or that of the forum (by spamming) will be punished. If the participants decide to ignore our rules of no spamming and having a minimum number of 150 characters that's their problem. We accepted them into the campaign because they weren't spammers so if the later turn out to be one, they'll be punished. Nobody is demanding 60 posts from participants, they can write more or less without spamming the forum.

PS: I'm always in support of an increase in payrate per post to reduced the workload and I'll always pass that message to the founder of projects but don't use quantity of post to judge post quality/spam.

There's a huge difference between Ethereum and this coin... Trying to equate all altcoins as the same I guess works for your conscience, but its a vast oversimplification that serves no other purpose. Can you imagine if Ethereum had something like this on its website back in its first few years? 



Nevermind that this explanation doesn't really make sense, this isn't Dogecoin -- its a new Proof of Stake coin where half the supply is held by a single wallet.


You're incentivizing spam by paying for up to 60 posts per poster each week. That's 10 posts a day with 1 day off. There's no way anyone that is writing this many posts is actually saying anything worth reading.

Scam?

Mate, this is mega.nz website. It's not Eloncoin wallet.

The mobile wallet is working perfectly right now but the desktop version of the wallet is not easy to navigate. I downloaded the desktop and the mobile as the time. The mobile app as no issue and I got everything both the password and the seed phrase plus the public key and the interface is beautiful but the desktop version is very much difficult to navigate. I can't see where to get the public address and there is no request to login to the wallet.

Look at the interface of the desktop version of the wallet.

I don't understand the features of the desktop version. But at least the mobile wallet is user friendly.

Thanks, I got the priv key using the console. But why does the mobile wallet say import using recovery seeds when the wallet itself doesn't provide one? Pretty confusing.

It does support privatekey import feature or at least that is what is mentioned on the import page.



Unfortunately, app doesn't allow screenshot the import page, but I got the priv key but while tried to import it says an error as "provide valid data" so I am not sure it allows the priv key import or not.

It doesn't support the private key import feature.

If you want to get the private key of an address from your desktop wallet. Go to debug console and type-
dumpprivkeySPACEyour address

Like-
dumpprivkey ELONcoinaddress
Press enter and in the output, you will get the private key of that address.

I installed the mobile wallet today only and it does have an import feature via mnemonic phrase, priv keys, wif so it was probably implemented recently but I came across the mobile wallet just now and wanted to test the coin.

I am 2 years away and scanning the 70Kth block region now.

You can't move from desktop to mobile wallet right now because the mobile wallet doesn't support the "private key" import method. Besides, desktop wallet won't give you a seed key.
You have to wait to either sync the desktop wallet or development of the mobile wallet.

By the way, ElonCoin desktop wallet should be synced in a few hours. What's your current block?

I installed QT wallet and its taking forever to sync Now that the mobile wallet is launched so I am not sure how to view the seeds or priv keys from qt, so any help will be appreciated because I want to experiment with how things work with EMC and I got my coins from campaign rewards and received into the address while checking on the explorer but its not displayed in the wallet due to sync error.

What about a change in the ticker? A unique one is always better so people don't get confused.

EMC stands for Elon Musk coin in this case.

I try my very best always to stay in line with the rules of the forum and in my business that has to do with managing bounties (the forum isn't against bounties which is exactly what this is). I have a Disclaimer on my profile and on the eloncoin Signature thread for participants of the campaign or other gamblers of not making decisions just because they see my name managing the Campaign. I'm just doing my duty as a bounty manager. This isn't the first altcoin bounty I'm managing as I have manage several in the past. Lightlord isn't a scammer and hasn't scammed anyone for as long as I have worked with him. I have past experiences from working with him that's why I accepted to manage his new project (note I'm just the manager for the campaign).

If you ask for my opinion on altcoins, I see them as a gamble irrespective of which one you're talking about, if you love gambling sure do your research and do as you wish.

As for the spam; I have done my selection properly and didn't hire any known spammer. I know we didn't get the best of users due to the workload and payrate but for what I have to work with, I choose the best with some notable disqualifications;
👉 If you have a red tag, neutral tag for spamming don't bother applying.
👉 If you have an inactive account don't bother applying (first few page of post history still has posts from previous months) and some other criteria not written like posting pattern and the rest.

If anyone is caught spamming (reported or neutral tagged) they'll be removed from the campaign, we have limit of characters (150) for post to be eligible for payment (but spams not included) . We have put in rules to encourage quality discussion and those not following the rules won't be rewarded, you can look at the signature thread, alot of users weren't accepted and won't be accepted even though they keep on reapplying because I'm not accepting everybody but only decent active forum users.

As for the rest of your concerns, I'll leave them for Lightlord to respond.

Its not 2014 - 2018 anymore, established forum members should know better than to promote this kind of affinity scam trash in any way.

Lastly, there's already a coin with the ticker EMC, its called Emercoin, has been around since 2014.

I'm not a friend of useless shitcoins but I guess I have to accept that scamming foolish people is part of the shitcoin industry...
And - possibly damaging my device due to a buggy shitcoin - hell, no!
