curious if there is a whitepaper or promo pack that I can forward to potential investors?
Our website is being redesigned and updated. I don't know of a 'whitepaper' but if we find one it will be included as part of EMC2's history. I remember reading some whitepaperesq info in the github file. As for a 'promo pack' we sponsor various EMC2 faucets in different locations, beyond that the promos have been targeted, the latest promo was aimed at Experiment.com, we helped fund numerous science research crowdfunding campaigns to the extent of $1 each. If you have something in mind, please let us know we will consider it.
The website will be comprehensive and interactive so it will likely address most issues about EMC2, however this thread will get you multiple more personable opinions faster than the site.
Einsteinium will be hitching our horses heavily onto PICISI when it is launched because we actually proved the concept when we did our last crowdfunding campaign.
About PICISI The Einsteinium Foundation awarded a grant to a scientist, the Einsteinium community conducted a crowdfunding campaign to benefit that project:
https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/science-study-memory-loss-dueto-sleep-deprivationI. There you will see how many CC communities came together to help reach the campaign's goal. From that inter and intra-coin community experience the idea of PICISI (pronounced 'pick-easy') was birthed. In the 30+ page plan it indicates how campaign organizers could raise funds in fiat and CC at the crowdfunding site. CC sponsors are an integral part of PICISI. The plan requires achievement of 7 goals in vital areas before the site and coin are launched: 1) Admins, 2) Campaigns, 3) Sponsors, 4) Promotion Contractors, 5) Campaign Contractors, 6) Referral Agents, and 7) Articles. As goal progress is made it is immediately reported. The first 5 articles written told readers about: PICISI, PICISI Administration, PICISI Sponsors, PICISI Assignments, and PICISI Issued Currency.
So when PICISI is launched, unlike indiegogo, experiment.com, and other crowdfunding sites, we will be able to directly sponsor campaigns, we will be able to promote EMC2 via the host CC currency (all CC donated to that campaign is immediately converted to the host CC and held in that currency for the duration of the campaign), we will also be able to provide CC as perks for the campaign, and also be the video sponsor so that our branding message is seen by each person viewing that campaign video. That is just 3 of the very many sponsorship opportunities we will take advantage of when the site is launch.
Unlike most other currencies EMC2 was there for the conception of PICISI so the trust curve should be more flat as opposed to other currencies that will want to see things work and the concept proven (again) before they come on board, by that time EMC2 should have benefited greatly from the head start. PICISI has 23 sponsors, of which 16 are CCs, of which 2 is related to science research - EMC2 and Gridcoin. Given that Gridcoin was not part of the success of the original project, their approach may be a bit more reserved then that of EMC2, I don't know. But there will be more than enough projects to sponsor as the site grows.
