Some people having problems using client version 1.4.0 and that is because they using an old type of blockchain.
Downloading a fresh one is easy from our Energycoin bootstrap server: The info is in the OP see quote abouve.
Also the advices content of the EnergyCoin.conf for smooth connection with our VPS nodes.

But max stake weight 100 day was published initialy by energyCR if I remeber well. (wich I often do)
I got a bunch of old coins not staked since ages
My raspberry are all offlines even my retro gaming one.
But I'm still watching, my coins going nowhere.
By the way, I talked a little bit about the smartmeter-node idea arroung me (in paris Bitcoin community) and maybe if one day you run a hackathon or something like in Paris... There are some good skills here.
But they are almost all 100% Bitcoin oriented. (Guess the smartmetter could work with both coins with not so much changes.)

If the blocks are too small you have to wail for a long time for a stake. Better type in console:

With 1000 ENRG blocks you have stake in one or two days now.If not maybe try repair wallet or move toe coins to a new block or a fresh wallet.
About the smart meter hackathon:
The basis we work on is with EnergyCoin rewards but for payout people can choice €/$/BTC/ENRG or watherver they want to use as a token.. In ENRG you get more rewards becouse ENRG is the base currency in the ecosytem for Energy saving rewards.
The business model is that we can use the data for analyses and make profit from that service. The rewards has to come from municipalities or communities who want to lower downs carbon emmesions. this coin is so amazing so long in activity and still here make movement, ant it all started from a free coin, crazy!
That is becouse I belive in the future of EnergyCoin and working hard to create an ecosystem.We had a meeting today about appication for the smart meter and the name for the application is GoalKeeper Energy.
We work on this in our free time so do not espect result in weeks but we have now a focus on what we go develop.
Also looking for connection to Etherium or Etherium based currency (mabye SOIL) for implementing Smart Contracts and EnergyCoin as tokens.
For the wallet we work go start working on a fork to slow down the blocktime and increase the dificulty to make the network more secure.
