I understand.  We all start somewhere.  The 'rpc' functions (or settings as you see them here) are settings so something external (if you want it to) can act upon your wallet (or install of the wallet).  For example, I run a couple of simple games.  I use a wallet install to keep track of each users amount they are playing with.  I use the rpc settings to do this:

rpcuser would be a username that you would use to connect to your install.  It's just like a username here on bitcointalk or an email address you'd log into facebook with.  If you decide to solo mine a coin, you'd use this rpcuser (name) to 'log' into your wallet and start mining on the network.  That's the reason it's there.  You want to set it to something secure (only you'd know) as it can be exploited.  More on that in a sec.

rpcpassword is just what it says.  A password to use in combination with your rpcuser.  Again, set this to something secure.

rpcport is the port number one would use to connect to your wallet.

NONE of these are of any use to you whatsoever when you're synching, so again, don't get hung up on what they do/used for.  Just basic authentication IF you'd ever decide to use it.

is what I suspect your problem is.  Normally you'd want that in your .conf file as a precaution to keep others out, but at times, i've learned, that it can prevent a wallet from synching.

Try this:

THAT should get you synching... If it doesn't start after 3 minutes or so, do the 'delete everything' trick I outlined above.  KEEP that wallet.dat file backedup .

We'll get you a synching client and THEN you can learn what all this stuff is.

Its quite weird actually. It could be large investor buying at 1 and seling at 2-10 sat, or simply coin is really dying.

I'd like you to think about taking another approach. Rather than merchants who own stores accepting Flappycoin (really, I don't care if I can buy a t-shirt with flaps instead of btc), but I want game developers who accept Flap. We need to develop a simple 'hello world' game that uses Flappy either as a reward or as a tool for in-game purchases.

If I had more time, I'd help build something where 100 Flap could buy you an upgrade for your racing car in an android/apple game or whatever. That is where I see the future of flap though.

And make sure you have latest version of wallet.

Silva, your rpc user and pass are strings of text that you can make up.  Make them whatever you feel is secure.  At the current difficulty of FLAP I doubt you'll be using them to solo mine, so just make them something secure.  The rest of that file looks good.  If you save this .conf file and restart the flappycoin qt and it still will not begin synching after about 3 minutes, try this:

Go back into your /appdata/roaming/flappycoin dir and backup the wallet.dat file.  Now, CAREFULLY, delete everything (including folders) in the directory BUT the wallet.dat file and the .conf file you just created.  For example, all that should be left when you're done deleting is the .conf file and the wallet.dat file.  Now, restart that flappycoin qt and it should begin synching.

Ah I see, thanks for not being an asshole about it, I use a lot of different exchanges and they all do things slightly differently.

Our dev's work hard. Our community is growing. Services are being created... But with zero pre mine its tough to get us off the ground without extra effort from the community.

I am thinking of running a promotion to get some merchants on board. Where can we spend FLAP as of now? Our website buy4crypto.com is going to be heavily related to btc, ltc, and I am hoping my instincts are right that FLAP will fill the number 3 roll once the wallet update is released officially.

If anyone has any advice or help on this issue. I was thinking of doing maybe 10 million in total giveaways to merchants. I don't want some guy to just claim bounty because he puts us on some obscure website that doesn't move the needle. I want to get some merchants on board and am willing to offer my time and some FLAP to bring this push to our coin sooner, rather than later.

We are planning a 50 million FLAP giveaway to coincide with our launch. We may be able to get another 10 million in the promo account to get some merchants on board.

I am a small part of FLAP, I don't even own .3% anymore but i'm willing to cross promote my website with those coins and give them ALL away. As long as I am gaining something from the deal (web traffic) I have no problem giving most my coins away. The ones I do keep should be more than enough to make me happy going forward.

If anyone wants to advise me on how to reach more people please let me know. I want to get the biggest bang for the buck when it comes to FLAP promoting as I love the coins future prospects and am holding my coins tight for now.

On a side not this whole page has been about the price. The price is a reflection of what the community offers. So please. Stop moaning and cheering at every satoshi move and do something to create a service, or awareness for the coin.

Its getting really old seeing the same people complain they didn't make 10x their money overnight.

Some, Like I, are in crypto for a long term play. Many of you all want to play the next pump and dump, get rich quick schemes, well.  That is not happeninig here, I guess its time for you to move onto the next PnD coin. Let the people who care about crypto enough to help make it better speak.

Why we are not talking about expanding merchants who accept us, and ways to promote the coin is beyond me, but I will continue to do my part to right this wrong. I hope more of you choose to talk about development and awareness than price movement going forward.
