At any exchange (even criptsy) if I get over .1 BTC I take it out!! I got really lucky and got my BTC out before all the problems there had happened. Then as I was selling I found out my accumulated BTC was locked and would let me take it out. I ended up trading it for other shitcoins, taking them out and trading them on criptsy.
What do I do with my accumplated BTC, trade it for silver bullion!!!
Thats fine but have you seen the shitcoins on CryptoRush, they are all at inflated prices due to panic from people doing exactly what you are doing above driving up the value of these coins on that one exchange. I am thinking of taking a gamble and mining some of these shitcoins and selling them there and hoping they turn around, maybe I am dillusional though i dont know
High risk, high returns/high losses kind of business. In the end, the biggest risk for a coin is an inactive dev, so we can at least help with that.
You are better man then most other dev's I have seen on the newer coins lately, a lot abandon a coin or are barely active and the ones who are barely active when asked if they have given up on a coin freak out and complain that its the community that need to be actively promoting a coin not the dev, here let me take a quote from Imperial coin thread where I asked a question, I thought the response was mose humorous:
Has dev given up on this coin?
No forum activity in a while
You know how tired me and other devs get of this comment? "No forum activity in a while!" It's been 2 days...
Funny thing is that post was on the 29th, which is the last time that dev posted on his coins forum:P
Fail coins dev abandoned that coin.
Noodleyappendages dev abandoned that coin
Serra coins dev abandoned the coin 4 days after launch lol
Initial attraction is easy to achieve for any new coin, and usually momentum builds up for many days until it hits an exchange then all those pump and dump miners who are only in it for the initial quick gain sell and flee and the momentum comes to a grinding halt.
Something I thought would be awesome for altcoins in general. Instead of an exchange like all the other generic exchanges out there what about a website that is something like Pokerstars.net or one of those other higher quality texas holdem site. You create an account, and like the exchanges you have a balance tab where you can deposit any amount of any different types of coins, then you go find a poker table where others are gambling a specific coin you are gambling. The site gets something like 0.1% of table winnings and charges 0.3% on withdrawals. While you are waiting for a game to start if by chance the coin you want to play texas holdem with is not too popular there could be a lobby screen setup where you can chat and maybe waste a few coins in digital slot machines. The idea can be expanded from there, but I think its a cool one and Id be there all the time playing texas holdem. If i had the programming skills and time to develope it I would. There are two big standouts here, one it is for more then one type of altcoin and 2 right now they only coins you can play poker with other people with online are btc and ltc.
