It actually can't steel nothing if you encrypt other wallets ...
This shouldn't provide ANY comfort. Once you have a file that contains private keys, brute forcing will crack some of the wallets. Enough of them to make it a viable exercise.Also, some unsuspecting folks have more than wallets on the drives. Financial info, bank accounts. Passwords to other systems/sites etc...
This is up to dev. You either have an awesome coin or this screams CAUTION!!!

A newbie account for dev looks suspicious. Don't you think so?
no more suspicious then 99% of other devs who register a new account.
I don't know the percentage, but I would say a majority of coins have dev accounts specifically created for them, whether they are legitimate or not. Most of these devs have separate regular accounts as well, they create specific dev accounts either for convenience or to protect their identity in case something goes wrong or to cover up a scam.
