I bought some Hexx on cryptopia, do I need to do anything in preparation for the hardfork? or just keep my coins and not worry?
If you trust Cryptopia, leave it as it is, if not withdraw to a local wallet.In any case your coins will not be affected by hardfork.

Try discord for more information on mining guides. Hexxcoin has both discord and telegram. They are moving forward and announcing updates! The whitepaper is 1st of March and a softfork is planned as well. Grown a lot past couple days and now a steady growth up. I'm glad I got hold of this coin. Looks very promising. The privacy angle, developments, marketing and all upon community effort.
I would like to define softfork word you used.
Currently we are kind of softforking, yes.
We push updates out alive but still keep old clients in the game, that is softfork.
Hardfork will come when Xnode payments will kick in.
Currently you can setup one and test without affecting the chain.
This is because we do not want to mess up the chain.
Keeping all services alive and give them time to update into final release, just like bitcoin has done.

Seems there are some bots on cryptopia, as placing orders do not seem natural sometimes..
Yea those are called trading bots and every exchange has them. Its good thing, means hexx is becoming more popular coin to trade.

Hey guys, is the Xnode just a masternode with a fancy name? Or is there some sort of difference between a MN and a Xnode? I couldn't find any information about it on the website or this ann unfortunately..
Yes, it's like a masternode. We are going to make a guide how to setup one.For now, you can use the following steps.
Using qt client
Open your debug console
Help -> Debug window -> console
1. type

xnode genkey
2. type
Code:
getaccountaddress HEXX1
It's address of your hexxnode
3. Send EXACTLY 2000 hxx into the HEXX1 Deposit Address
4. type
Code:
xnode outputs
5. modify xnode.conf

HEXX1 YOUR_IP:29100 YOUR_HEXXNODEPRIVKEY_FROM_STEP_1 TXID_FROM_STEP_4 TXID_INDEX_FROM_STEP_4

7. Click Xnodes button on the top, near Zerocoin button,
Click "My Xnodes" tab
Select your xnode, and click "Start alias" at left bottom.
If you get pop up message that xnode started successfully
