Sounds good. I got my first teams out there and they basically sit on top of each other. All the coin spawn spots are simply spammed by people.
So it will be interesting to see what you come up with to make it more of a game.
I'm wondering about something else now though:
People mostly spam chars on coin spawn spots. They sit on each other and share the coin value.
That means they can indefinitely sit there, go back after 100coins or whatever and sit there again.
Doesn't this drive the price down like crazy? It doesn't take too much effort to do this. And with bots coming up you could probably make 1000 teams easily instead of manually clicking.
Still getting the mechanics, but that's my first impression so far.
with original client?
you then miss a lot like where an hunter is going or set composite path (multiple waypoint)
other then that, you are seeing the game from a wrong viewpoint. Sitting down on a coin spot is a way to collect (or at least try to collect) some coin, but then you need to bring it back to spawn area to bank the coins, and in the trip back you could be ambushed and killed.
This game isn't intended to be an AFK game where people position themself, log off then later send back the hunter to base, but it's a tactical game where fighting and cooperation should be the main strenghts
Bots invasion somewhat ruined this at the moment, and our efforts is to rebalance tha game to be as fair as possible (my way to achive this is developing my client, while coin devs are working on core aspects like disaster, etc..)
Imagine position yourself near enemie colors zone (or near coin areas), bring there 2 different colored hunters and coordinate your action in a way that with one hunter you blow enemies, and with other, positioned right and with the right timing, you grab dropped coin. then you need to defend the way back to home of course
with standard client, bots are a worse threat because you can't see where they are going while they can see your moves (it's all public on gamestate so it couldn't be hide in any way), thisi is why (well, not just for that) that i've created my client version, to give to everyone more insight about the game and plan better your moves (this means collect coins in your pocket!) so you have the same weapon bots have, with the difference that an human *should* be smarter then bots.
path visualization is just one of the added features (and could be used even to take advantage of bots attacks), there are already posts everywhere talking about other things.
about your price concern, you should think anyway that there are a constant flow of coins put on map every block, independently from how much players are on the map (plus the value of generals on the map), so the value of coins per se isn't affected by the playing style, rather than from how many human players are playing the game and investors invest in the coin, plus the value that the coin could have apart from the game itself (so merchandising, buyable goods, etc)
